I would have loved to, but when I went you couldn't buy a programme anywhere in the theatre with a card! 

I wonder how long Hadley will stay with this now that Rosalie is doing The Ferryman and Company - with a young child I would have thought one of them would want to be at home and one works, alternating their schedule (I think I read Samantha Bond and Alex Hanson did this).

I saw this last night and laughed like a drain. Really enjoyed it and, God knows, we could all do with a laugh these days. A terrific ensemble. No Hadley unfortunately (@ryan would not have been a happy camper) but Josh Wilmott was outstanding, he really was.

Does anyone know if Hadley is off all week? Dianne is on holiday next week.

I finally caught up with this on Saturday. Having seen the original over-bloated Broadway version (which defeated its great cast) I was curious to see it now scaled down and in a smaller venue. What was once over-produced and headache inducing is now a mildly enjoyable mediocre musical which could've been written in the sixties, the kind that are harmless but forgettable. The physical production looks cheap, the costumes feel rented and the sound is tinny. There are laughs to be had, mostly from Ross Noble and a few from Lesley Joseph ( who seems to be doing an exact recreation of Andrea Martin's Broadway performance) but themain problem for me is that no oneon stage ( except Mr Noble ) is organically funny. Everyone is pretending to be funny so it all felt false. I didn't have a bad time, just not a good one.

Or just have a different sense of humour.

Caught this yesterday afternoon, prior to Hamilton. Not familiar with the film or broadway show, so went in blind. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Best described as a B-Movie Musical (thats a compliment). I can appreciate how it sits on the line of hilarious for some and mildly amusing for others. Best not taken too seriously, this is great fun. Will definitely return in the new year.

Ross is leaving soon? Oh no, I generally wanted to see this mainly for him. As usual my FAFFING friends decided other things were more important and booked for the first week of March - it would have been Summer if I had not been bugging them, knowing Noble would be doing his stand up tours soon.

They always tease me about my general sense of urgency to do certain things in a certain window of time, and unfortunately I’m generally right but they never listen.
