Not even a pop star - anyone remember Philip Schofield as Joseph? Definitely remember it as it the first musical I ever saw, and he was brilliant in it. Perfect example of a "name" bringing their personality to a show but also being able to do the role justice. Well I humbly stand corrected then! If it was the first thing you saw and it began your love of theatre who am I to scoff? I agree he had a great personality, but could he actually sing? (Such as you would need to for the un-challenging Joseph songs.)

Played a long time in the West End, and then on the UK Tour. Very good performance, very reliable performer. One of ALW's most successful "bizarre" castings.

Jon Lee of S Club fame made a good stab at Marius! Very good indeed. Faye Tozer off of steps gave a good Lina Lamont in the last 'SITR' tour too! Gates was in Legally Blonde too, was alright; Warner is a bit of a nothing part so not really a stretch. I've seen Faye in a lot of things. Tell Me On A Sunday, Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens, The Eva Cassidy musical, Dial M For Murder, Tailor Made Man (I wish they'd made a recording of her main song). Also Love Shack; did anyone else see that? She was also the Wicked Queen in my local panto, Snow White, last Christmas and she was fabulous!

Kimberley Walsh. Not sure if it was before or after his pop career but Ricky Martin was in Les Mis in the US.

Shayne ward was great in rock of ages.
Belinda Carlise had a bad go at hairspray and Mickey Dolenz who was much better.
I saw Adam rickets in rent though he was more soap star turned popstar for a second.
