Thomas Monson has died so there will need a slight amendment to I Believe.

That's true. I guess because they update the jokes a bit I was thinking they might update the lyrics.

They really only update the Nabulungi names, which are pretty self-contained and not dependent on any music. The only other thing that changed due to real-world events was "tears of Nelson Mandela."

I feel a "Don't you know who I am?" coming on! We were discussing this at work, not sure if KJ was told to do it or not, if they do change it then cast change would be the perfect time if they* don't then we now have a period piece set about 2012! (* means PTB across the pond!)

Some more cast members have announced their casting in this on Twitter: Will Haswell, Dan Walter and Ross Carpenter.

Saw this tonight.
Have they changed the lyrics of "I am Africa"? Elder McKinley said "we are the sunrise on the horizon", which of course doesn't rhyme with banana. It was weird. Maybe he just forgot the lyrics?
I was surrounded by first-timers and loved seeing their reactions to this fantastic show.

Looking for some ticket advice 🙂
I'm looking to get some tickets for myself, my partner, my sister and her husband for this for the beginning of March.
Any advice at where to book decent priced tickets, where people would recommend to sit, and bits that that would be greatly appreciated! I'm well versed with most sites/apps/day seats and what not, but I know for this show it's a whole different ball game haha!
Thanks in advance for any help 😋

Look at midweek matinees for best value for money, followed by midweek evenings, Friday nights, then Saturdays. Good luck!

I booked for this show (for the first time) a couple of weeks ago. When looking it seemed to me that they do dynamically price a lot and booking early does seem to be the best bet. I'd also say booking through Del Mac is your best bet as there doesn't seem to ever be offers (there's just no need for them) and the booking fees are lower than most/all agencies. I managed to pick up a seat in the circle for £22.25, yes it's very near the back but it has a clear view which is what I mainly care about - that was for a Tuesday evening performance.

I booked my seat 7 weeks before on the official site and the price just getting kept going up after that. In the week before the show similar seats to mine were going for £130 or more when I paid £60. This was a Tuesday night and it was a full house.

A lot of schools finished later than usual this year, but if they did finish by the 18th it would have been the start of the Christmas holidays 😊

From a tweet by Stevie Webb the other week, something to do with international law. So visa related or something I assume

Well, finally I got around to seeing BOM. As the show seems to sell out and always has lines for returns I thought it time I went to see what the fuss was about. Well clearly I was totally the wrong demographic for this show. It is one of the few times I nearly walked out of a show at the interval! Looking around the audience were fairly young! I may have totally missed the point of the show but found it crude, rude and offensive beyond all recognition. Sending up religion is one thing but to make fun of AIDS in Africa is downright disgraceful and not at all funny in my opinion. I had read about it beforehand and expected it to be near the mark, well it went well beyond that mark for me and more! I respect everyone's opinion and I know many people on here love it, but it is not one for me and I certainly wont be going back!
