Checked for the rest of the week and yes back of stalls £15 although not on the day I can do 😭 ah that's a shame. If it's a busy day they may end up opening the Upper, keep an eye on it Thanks, will do or I might just pay more and get a decent stalls seat. Trying to stop spending so much on theatre never happens with me!

Just out of today's matinee performance.
The cast are excellent, as is the design.
I am just not a huge fan of the show itself. I have seen it a couple of time previously and while I like some of the songs, I just find the book a bit dull and not very funny.

I saw it on Broadway, just because Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth were in it. Naturally they were both fab. I loved the Overture, and the first song was catchy enough. But other than that, I can't remember any other song, or even what the plot was. I'm not sure I'll be racing to see this with Les Dennis' shaven head.

14. The Addams Family - Festival Theatre A thoroughly enjoyable night at the theatre as the legendary 60s sitcom came to life. Wednesday has a secret, she is engaged to be married and her fiancée is NORMAL!!! When Gomez is informed and told to keep it a secret from Morticia until after the families meet chaos ensues.
Will love conquer all? Will Thing prove to be handy? Who will torture Pugsley? ...and just whose mother is Granny? This was fun with a capital F, a very Carry On-esque script, some nice tunes and some reflective moments about love and life contributed to a nice show. Yeah, nice is the word - I doubt this will ever be the favourite musical of many people but it will put a smile on your face and leave you glad that you went. Although don't go expecting Womack and Dennis to be the leads, this is the Gomez and Wednesday show with Morticia and Fester offering support. Cameron Blakely is in fine fettle as Gomez and puts in a well judged performance that veers from spurned lover to protective father via many a comedic interlude. Carrie Hope Fletcher is the female lead and plays it in a cross between Addams and normal that will win most people over. I was wondering what the point of the Addams ancestors was though apart from filling the stage and offering up some handy understudies - they offer nothing beyond their introduction and whilst Fester says he is going to use them to ensure the path of true love runs smoothly they don't actually do anything and their plot point was seemingly all but forgotten in Act 2. Mark off for having no Cousin Itt though 7/10

The dates for Wimbledon are up on TodayTix with a decent discount: I was going to wait and see it in Dublin with my sister, but I might go and see it here as well 🙈

I can see it there but it says not currently available (isn't it just the week before you can get them on todaytix?)

The dates from the 16th-20th are up for sale on the app, the stalls seats are £32.50 (£9 off), and the dress circle seats are £22.50 (so £12.50 off). I always assumed it was the week before, but they just put tickets up for Annie for the end of May, and they're definitely selling them cause one of my friends just snapped up one for the 26th

Edit: Can see them on the website but not the app!

That's strange, they're up on the app for me (haven't checked the website though), but it might just depend on if your app has updated or not, it is strange though.
I am surprised they're selling tickets for both this and Annie though; but I'm not going to complain

Travelzoo have similar offer aswell. (THINK CODE IS 'TZOO' goes through on atg tickets site )
Adult Band A tickets, usually £42.40-£43.90, are now £29.50 Adult Band B tickets, usually £35.90-£36.90, are now £19.50 Adult Band C tickets, usually £28.90, are now £15 (very limited availability) Prices include all per-ticket booking fees, so the only extra to pay is a one-off transaction fee of £2.85

Saw this in Wimbledon tonight. Wow we all loved it. What a cute funny show. I mean, it's not the best musical ever and the chorus is pointless mostly but I'm really glad I saw it! Even Les Dennis was good!

Really enjoyed this last night. Went with a friend who isn't a big musicals fan but loves the Addams Family and she thought it was great too. I have decided I want 'Death Is Just Around the Corner' played at my funeral.

Has the show always been primarily focused on Wednesday and Gomez? I'm surprised considering Bebe Neuwirth was billed as leading and Krysta Rodriguez was featured then?

Im guessing they are doing the rewritten version, I played Gomez in it last year and its very different to the cast recording as it has a number of new songs and Gomez has a lot to do

A relentlessly mediocre musical featuring a lot of good one-liners (Marshall Brickman, presumably) and no good songs. Cameron Blakely's Gomez steals it with ease. Samantha Womack's Morticia barely registers. Carrie Hope Fletcher and Oliver Ormson are both good as the young lovers and Charlotte Page makes the most of her few moments as Alice Beineke but the show itself never really happens. I hadn't realized they'd done a rewrite - it didn't work.

i agree
Saw this afternoon
Won't last 30 days in the WE
Material so awful
But I liked several of the performances
It's sort of too good for a touring show in some aspects
But too meagre for the WE
Identity crisis
