Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - RETURNS QUEUE THREAD

So what it basically means in practise is that if you return them 48 hours before (or more) they will 100% accept them back and give you a full refund, minus the admin fee. If you return them less than 48 hours before the performance, they will try and resell them, but only once all of their own seats have been sold. So you don't have the guarantee of a refund. Sure, with Cursed Child you'd expect it to be 100% full, but if they've got house seats/company returns, they'll want to sell all of these before letting yours go. Food for thought.

How long are you in London for? I have 3 tickets on Sunday in May which I now need to swap with someone because I accidentally booked a holiday over those dates but I'm desperate to go (was my mum's Christmas present!). I live in London so can be flexible when I swap for. Would you be interested?

Do you know how much the tickets where that they sold? I know that you should be lucky enough to get a tickets and don't complain about the price. But my budget is not the highest, which is why I can't go for premium tickets. So it would be cool to know of someone (if there is someone else who can share there experience on return prices) who could tell you a bit about the prices of the returned tickets in general.

hpgirl -- We're not going to make any decisions until we arrive. Sorry! But look at the website right now - tons of seating available for the rest of the month including weekends!

Just trying to be helpful! There was a day when they put up a whole extra performance and there were loads of tickets (the whole theatre!) but now they tend to release the odd tickets in dribs and drabs at ever increasing prices! They also sometimes put up cheap returned tickets, to be fair, but never many! A first glance at the website suggests lots of availability but if you try and buy more than 1 ticket it's hard! I didn't mean to offend, sorry if my tone upset, wasn't meant to. Hope you get to see the show, it's great! 
And HG, that is just rude.....no call for that. 

Well naturally it'll depend on which tickets are returned!  They don't discount returns...

So after reading this forum extensively, I dragged myself out on this Saturday past and was standing in the Returns 'queue' at 8.45 am. It wasn't so much a queue as there only one gentleman in front of me and he was there since 7!! Bear in mind, it was a freezing wait from then on... The chap from the Box office (BO) came out at 10 sharpish and said he will be out as soon as he has some returns to give us.

1. At 10.30, 1 ticket for both parts for £99.50 - the gent before me took it
2. At 11 am, 1 ticket for both parts for £99.50 - offered to me, but I declined as I needed two tickets and it was wayyy too pricey for me - that's when I was told that its PER TICKET PER PERSON, so I rang the better half to rush in and join the queue with me. This ticket was then offered to the lady behind me & and she took it.
3. At 11.30, 1 ticket for both parts for £99.50 - again pricey but the BO gent reduced it to £70 and the chap behind me took it.
4. At 12.15, 2 tickets for both parts for £99.40 - again pricey for me (and my husband who had joined me by then!) and was offered to people behind with no takers.
5. Finally at 12.45, we were again offered the same 2 tickets for £65 each and we decided to take it. It was still pricey but we figured so close to the showtime, we wouldn't likely get anything cheaper and people behind us were ready to pounce. And by then, I had stood 4 hours in the freezing cold and bloody well wanted something to cheer about!!! The gent wrote down my name and requested for cash, luckily there was an ATM across the street, so we got the cash, paid up and came out with both PART A and B tickets.

Long story short:
1. Queuing up means you will get tickets, but certainly not the very cheap ones. I had people behind me who got £50 ones during the weekdays and on Wednesday, they had return tickets but no buyers.
2. The BO people are very patient and aware of us standing in the cold - be polite and they tend to reduce ticket prices depending on queue length/demand.
3. Get there in the Winter because in the Summer, people were queuing up all night in the Returns queue. Am not surprised since I was in the queue with Brazilians and Americans, who had made this their sole mission for their trip and this is the ONLY show running in the world right now !!
4. The BO chap said they do get returns of all price ranges, but since there is a higher % of tickets in the £65-99 brackets, the returns tend to be in that category. Lazy bumpkins who get the £15-45 tickets don't bothering returning them :/
5. Friday 40 works but you do need to be clicking it every waking minute and hope to land them!

I will be in London 15 July - 8 Aug and have been haunting the HP ticket website. So booked up during the summer of course. I couldn't believe it when I checked tonight and saw ticket available 2 Aug !!! I snapped it up so fast. Now I'm trying to find out what the actual view of the stage is from my seat. Dress Circle G18. Does anyone know of a website I can check for seat viewpoints?

Try this website. If someone has reviewed your seat, there will be a review and maybe a picture.

This is semi related but I can't find any info on the internet so I'm hoping someone in this thread can shed some light.
I'm wondering if there is a thread or website for people who want to trade tickets? I have a pair of tickets for September 13 and am now worried I won't be able to use. I don't live in England and the trip I am planning may not line up with the tickets now due to work. I don't want to sell them for a profit I'm just hoping to find someone who is maybe local who would be interested in swapping tickets for a few days earlier...

I won Friday Forty tickets and therefore didn't want to use the tickets I had booked (they were about 3 weeks later). I therefore gifted them to my friend. It is quite clear on the website....print out the gift certificate and the original booking email and they will be fine! My friends collected their tickets from the box office fine with that and had a great time! The box office are very helpful
