JCM is a different kettle of fish though.
Hedwig HAS to be set in the 90s though otherwise it don't make sense as he is following around Tommy.

Please not Alan Cumming. I'd quite like to see it.

Unless this is coming in the new year, it wouldn't be Will Young as he's signed onto Strictly

Just curious, if Will Young were to be cast, would this be 'stunt casting'?

No.
Stunt casting would be Ed Balls.

Announcement due imminently. Michael Meyer directing his 2013 Broadway version. British "star" to take the title role. I'm guessing this was rubbish then

Menier If it really is the Menier I really hope it has a transfer. Much as it seems a lovely theatre, it is a bitch to get tickets unless you are up at the crack of dawn because the theatre is so small! And you can't do spur of the moment with it either as the shows usually sell out, which is a great thing but still haha.

I think starting at the Menier is a good idea, the original West End production died a death at the Playhouse. It'll need a name in the lead role to sell the initial Menier run though before they can even think of transferring

It honestly depends on the show and who's in it for it to sell out the Menier.

Very good idea to do it at Menier. Build hype, create an audience and publicity. The energy in the room would be fantastic too.

I've always thought it should go to the Menier For how long an "always"? Do you mean the Michael Meyer 2013 Broadway version?

This isn't worth doing unless you get Neil Patrick Harris to star.

Menier I'm not bitter but I write in the 'meneir Christmas musical' board that I wanted hewing there a bit before you posted yours. Did you copy me?

Menier I'm not bitter but I write in the 'meneir Christmas musical' board that I wanted hewing there a bit before you posted yours. Did you copy me? On the one hand, it's entirely possible for two people to independently come up with the same idea. When I was a child, I once composed the Ode To Joy, for example. On the other hand, I've noticed that nash16's gossip is fairly reliable, and although I know you can't get a *lot* of nuance from a single word and a smiley face, I feel like he's saying "it is going into the Menier, I know this to be true because I have heard it from reliable sources", rather than "I would like it to go into the Menier if you were to ask me for my opinion". So I'm going to go out on a limb and say hey, I would happily bet money that no one is copying you. It's not like you win a prize or anything if you state a wish for something then it comes true (apart from the prize that is the thing coming true, I suppose).

AGAIN this is pure speculation - it's so boring that someone can just throw in a theatre name and then everybody spends hours discussing it as fact.

This isn't worth doing unless you get Neil Patrick Harris to star. In your opinion... of the three Hedwigs I saw, he was great but my least favourite.
