Can only be an improvement to the "semi staged" version I saw this year. Denise Van Outen reading from her script throughout and Kimberly Walsh's patchy vocals were the stuff of nightmares.

Well, it can only be better than their truly ghastly Into the Woods last year....some of the decisions made were truly bizarre. Cinderellas mother?

The whole cast for this show is very very strong! For an Exchange show, I've heard of a surprisingly large number of them!!!

Might have to make a day trip. Not sure if I'll like the show or not, but the cast has me very interested.

Must admit the trailer does not want me to rush out and buy tickets, however I did catch the openenig night and Kasia Hammarland is just charming as Charity, tempeted to rush on stage and save her myself by the end! There is excellent support from the ever dependable Daniel Crossley and Josie Benson knocks the socks off Rhythm of Life. All in all a good night out.

Wil I be using my imagination a lot?

I've only just read this thead so had no idea Kaisa was starring in it. She is a great performer. Sweet Charity is one of my favourite shows and loved the Menier production a few years ago. Was not so keen on the concert version at Cadogan Hall though.
Weekend in Manchester I think in the New Year.

Oh my word I LOVED THAT TONIGHT! totally agree with musicman Kasia is absolutely adorable in it, and heartbreaking at the same time. I think everybody in the room was a bit in love with her by the end. Loved the sets, which is often an issue at the Exchange and the costumes were fabulous. The big set pieces were stunning especially Rhythm of Life and I'm A Brass Band. A totally enjoyable night. Might go again near the end of the run!
