Book of Mormon - disrespectful to mock someone's religion. Aladdin - Beauty & the Beast and the Lion King have convinced me that Disney is better on film. Thriller - Would never attend anything to do with someone who spent millions to keep young boys quiet (allegedly). Any musical marketed as a 'Girls Night Out' - way too many loud and drunk women spoiling the show (possibly more of a touring problem ?). Bodyguard - Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is the way the song should be sung.

Does it count if I've seen the film and hate it so don't want to see the musical? if so Grease and Dirty Dancing. Hate both those films so no desire to see the musicals.
Interesting point about Mormon, I've always avoided as I don't find the South Park guys that funny, but also always had a bit of uncomfortable feeling about some of the jokes as well.

Oh Emi you're missing out...yes it's obscene, but it undercuts any moments of uncomfortable filth with showstopping tunes (mostly pastiches of existing big numbers from Wicked, The Lion King etc) and just the most positive sense of joy throughout. And as for mocking what is a totally made up religion...it may aswell be the book of scientology!!!

The Book of Mormon actually somehow manages to leave you with the message that having faith in something is a positive thing. Plus it doesn't seem like the Mormons are too bothered if their use of advertising space in the programmes are anything to go by!

Book of Mormon - disrespectful to mock someone's religion. The Book of Mormon doesn't mock the Mormons. It presents them straightforwardly and truthfully. That's why it's so uproariously funny.

Re: Mormon good points all! (I'd personally never given the mocking relgion thing thought before, being the heathen that I am I probably say worse on a daily basis)
I am often told I would enjoy it, despite not usually liking that style, so I've never filed it in my 'won't see' pile, just in my 'I'll get around to it' pile!

I can only tell you, Em, that it's absolutely the funniest show I have ever seen.

I admit to queasiness as neighbouring audience laughed unironically. Response to humour does reveal individuals for what they are.

Just have never had any interest in seeing any of the above and interesting to see these shows are the ones creeping up the most with other people.
