It does not look uplifting.

Refreshing for a movie musical to be very upfront in its trailer about what it is. I'm sold.

Saw this at London Film Festival this year and I quite liked it. All the performances are very strong and of course the premise is interesting.
Maybe a spoiler but I sort of wished the songs were a bit more batsh*t and off the walls. It was described as being inspired by golden age musicals and it certainly has that sort of feel as opposed to the sound of modern musical. I just felt that it was going to be a bit more odd, rather than being understated.
Anyway I look forward to other peoples thoughts.
