No. Just no.
Holland does not have the range for this.
And the world has more directors than JL.

No, please no. Tom Holland was by far the weakest link in R&J

The very thought of JL directing 'Angels in America' will probably give me nightmares... but who knows, he might find a clever and not too gimmicky way to bring that text to life.
While I feel I can give JL the benefit of doubt, I really hope Tom Holland stay miles away from the role of Prior - or, let's face it, any role in this - as I really don't think he has the acting chops and range to play him (at least for now). Plus I'm not sure his adoring fans would be ready for 7.5 hours in a theatre... let's not risk it.

Agree with everyone above. I'm all for JL directing this but Holland is a very, very weak actor and no way could pull this off.

Are only actors who’ve played Spider-Man allowed to play this role? 😂
But on a serious note, it feels a bit too soon since Marianne Elliot’s production and I can’t imagine another major revival happening for at least another 10 or 20 years.

The latest Broadway revival did not do great business despite the presence of Garfield AND Lane, it seems too soon

Roy Cohn really getting his name back in the culture of late with The Apprentice and now possibly this!

The issue with doing Angels in America is that's a beast to perform and I'm not sure if Tom Holland would be able to handle it.
Does Jamie Lloyd even have the time to direct it as well?

This feels like something someone plucked out of thin air. I can’t imagine Jamie has time for this, for it to be staged again so quickly after the last one and Tom to do this.

I also just... don't know why either of them would be interested? Angels is one of my favourite plays of time, and I quite like Jamie Lloyd - but really? Romeo and Juliet was clearly a poor piece for him, and this could be even worse.
If anyone is doing Angels in America today, please let it be Rebecca Frecknall, with Tom Scutt designing. Wait for Andrew Scott to age into a Roy Cohn.

If Tom Holland does theatre again- he should try a musical.

I think Tom Holland should do a comedy/farce, he's quite good at comedy.

Sounds to me like they had a West End/Broadway deal for Romeo, but looking for something else with how that one turned out.

I can’t see this returning this quickly. It’s a beast of a show to stage and perform. While Holland would sell tickets, I’m not sure he’s right for it.

I would be quite surprised to find out that Tom Holland and Jamie Lloyd were teaming up again to work on anything.
