A new work by Robert Icke, and possibly the beginning of a new relationship.
Fri 28 Mar - Sat 03 May 2025 : Tickes now on sale. No cast as yet, but you do get the feeling ..
Iirc, Icke is from the NE originally, which might have some bearing on his interest: Sonia has already got first dibs.
Side bet: who plays Gazza?

I'm really interested to see how Icke approaches these events and I got my ticket as soon as the opportunity availed itself

Missing it sadly.. Looks like it's bound for the transfer with Sonia on board and providing it's sucessful, so I'll just keep my figers crossed.. or if they extend for a week, I will be able to catch it

Not sure about Gazza, but how about Charlie Hunnam to play Moat? He's a Geordie, about the right age, and he has shown from Sons of Anarchy that he can bulk up.

tbf, my knowledge of Geordie actors begins and ends with Auf Wiedersehen Friends and Our Pet in the North.
Wouldn't be surprised if RI has had someone in mind for a while, and maybe even sat on this until worlds aligned.
He obv. has something to get off his chest. I'm almost certainly not of his social tribe but, whatever it is, it'll be thoroughly thought through << say that ten times on a skipping rope. Somewhat intrigued.

Press night has been moved to Tues 8 April (the night I had booked).
Received a rather terse email from the RC box office saying I have no choice but to rebook for another date or accept a credit. The wording in the email (in bold): "You will not be able to attend Manhunt on this date" I find particularly rude.
Surely they really should not allow tickets to be booked if they're unsure of when the press night will be. Anyone know why it was moved?

I've also booked for the 8th April (via TodayTix) and neither TodayTix, nor RC have sent me any communication indicating my booking is void 🤔

Was Press Night at an earlier or later date before? I’m praying to all theatre gods they could extent a week so I would be able to attend (there’s nothing coming up after as far as I can see).
But is it always the case now that you can’t attend a press night? I’ve been to a couple a while ago (Young Checkov at NT and The German Life at the Bridge), tickets were free to book and I think I only realised a”nearer to the time.

I had booked direct with them. Interestingly, I see TodayTix currently has 4 seats available to book for that performance but when you try to buy them, it says they are no longer available. I wonder if they are honouring TodayTix purchases or just trying to get through their own orders first. I shall have to call them but really not happy about this. They haven't even given a refund as an option.

I believe it was set for the night after (9 April) as I like to try to book the last preview before press night where possible (but I could very well be wrong there). I think it varies from theatre to theatre. I have attended press night by accident before in the WE (as in booked not realising it was press night) but I notice some theatres (usually the smaller ones) will always block off their press night from public booking before putting tickets on sale as they don't know how many they will need for press / production / PR etc. Not sure if that was the case with the RC and Manhunt. I get that previews get cancelled as the show isn't ready all the time and that's the risk of booking a preview... but to know the performance is still going to happen but the theatre basically needs my seats for someone else is a bit rich really.
