Is there any indication of prices? I HATE the secrecy about prices for every single bloomin gig, just put the prices on the page so we all know whether we want to buy tickets, it's not hard!

I saw them in Vegas last year and there were a couple of good tricks/illusions (the ones with the goldfish that turned into cash being the best) but overall I wasn’t impressed, it seemed very dated: when it finished I didn’t go in search of them to get signed merch, I just wanted to get back to my hotel asap (the place they have the residency at seemed like it had long gone past its glory days)

The LW theatres presale has lowest 52.50 to 119.50 and the first two seats on aisles on all areas are £5 more than other seats in the row.
Start time 7.30, includes Sunday but no Thursday shows.
Dynamic pricing already, mon to Wed shows about £6 cheaper. No matinees showing

I signed up for presale and the promised email never arrived.
CORRECTION:
Re-checking, the email *did* arrive earlier, but it had a subject line that began "Martin, your exclusive presale access to Bob The Drag Queen..." and the rest was off the edge of my phone screen, and I deleted it without reading as Bob did not hold much appeal for me.

£108.50 for a half-decent stalls seat on a midweek night is roughly twice what I'd be prepared to pay, so a pass from me.
In any case, it was only June last year that I saw them at the Hammersmith Apollo. That cost just 4,000 Accor points (€80 value) for two tickets including lounge access.

I've been a fan of P&T for almost my whole life through their TV work, Youtube clips etc and found the Hammersmith show last year pretty disappointing. I enjoyed seeing some of the classic tricks in person, but the whole show was just a big underwhelming, the new tricks they had were not engaging, and I couldn't believe the ending was the ending, it just sort of stopped. Fair enough if doing the bullet catch in the UK is impossible, but come up with something spectacular to end on instead. I'll give this one a miss, I suspect they're just past their prime.

The second half, being just 45 minutes, was far too short, and it did feel like a spectacular finale had been chopped. It's becoming increasingly difficult for big-budget performers to come up with anything truly original and mind-blowing, so quite what they could have added to sate me I don't know. All the genuinely innovative ideas get nicked by the America's/Britain's Got Talent formats. These days I am getting more pleasure marvelling at the small close-up sleights of hand. |
