I heard last week of the death of Bette Bourne, who I first encountered in the late 80s and 90s as part of radical drag group Bloolips, but who had a varied career including performances in shows at the Donmar, the NT and the RSC. Neil Bartlett, a sometime collaborator, has written a fine obituary for the Guardian: www.theguardian.com/stage/2024/sep/08/bette-bourne-obituary Sadly, A Life in Three Acts, the film he made with Mark Ravenhill based on interviews about his remarkable life story, does not seem to be available anywhere.

I think I saw them in something at The Drill Hall in the 90’s with Adam Ant in. My friend used to go out with him (AA) and dragged me there to watch. Anyone know what it would have been? Edit: I think it may have been ‘Funeral Games’.
