If you’re anywhere near these cinemas Sunday, there’s a totally free preview screening of Sir Ian’s new film, The Critic for Picturehouse members.
Cinemas are West Norwood, Greenwich, Epsom and Regal at Henley -on-Thames.

It was earlier, for some reason they’ve changed. Currently says Duke’s at Komedia in Brighton too. Keep checking, it seems to be Changing.

Saw this yesterday, not at a PictureHouse nor for free, and enjoyed it. It has a very theatre-based cast, and a starring role for the Theatre Royal Windsor (not surprising when Bill Kenright was one of the film producers), and is not so much a mystery - it is obvious how it will unfold - but an intricately plotted how-it-was-done. One of our quartet hated it, three liked it. There are unbelievable elements to the tale (Arterton's 'stage' appearances for one - though she is good off-stage and is more to do with the writing / direction), a nice period feel, and good performances. Worth catching if at a nearby, not too expensive, cinema.
