Nope no casting at all. I think as it isn't touring until next year, casting won't be announced until atleast the end of this year. It opens 5th Jan so, not really!

Well I still think casting won't be announced until around October/November. They still haven't announced full casting for Ghost and that's only opening in a couple of week. That's Bill Kenwight too!

I love La Cage .... but why does Bill Kenwright have to get his hands on seemingly everything.

He does give an awful lot of people a chance to see stuff outside of London. I have no issue with the production values of his recent Evita or SoM tours. Maybe he's moving away from cheapo?

I think Kenwright's tours have improved vastly in the last few years, clearly a decent amount of money put into production and some good casting as well.
I saw the Barrowman/Burke combinations last time, Barrowman was great, even if it was La Cage with a side of Barrowman in concert. And I fell in love with Burke in that show too. I'd give an organ (ooh eer) to have seen Allam though.
I also saw Kelsey Grammar in New York. He was...fine...his wig (viewed directly above from a box) was something to behold.

The Menier/Playhouse production wasn't exactly extravagant though was it? I remember staircase and a bistro table abd that's about all. The frocks were nice though

Lowry Salford next June 2017 starring John Partridge When you see it written down, it's like THE most obvious piece of casting in the world.

I heard a fantastic rumour it was Michael Ball, which would have been wonderful!

Hasn't John Partridge played the role before or am I thinking of John Barrowman? But I have to say I;m not a fan. Shame - it almost puts me off seeing this and it's a favourite show of mine.

Michael Ball could have been good.
This just makes me angry. It could have been great. But based on him as Billy Flynn, it wont be

Michael Ball would be terrible. And I doubt he would do it anyway.
