Does anyone go to Show Off! Piano Bar at The Square Pig in Holborn? Pre-Covid it was downstairs in an Italian restaurant bang in the middle of Leicester Square but has moved since.
I used to go often for couple of years and it was always packed full of mostly regulars. It’s a musical theatre karaoke piano bar, but taken more seriously, not for drunk people on a Friday night. They have books but you are encouraged to bring your own music. Different to overtures where it’s more like a big singalong with the person playing the piano singing.
It’s only on every 2 or 4 weeks on a Friday and I turned up with a friend on the last one and there was only about 2 people there, so we left. For anyone that does go, is it always this quiet now or did I just pick a bad week? It’s a shame as it was always a great night that was always busy.
