On the basis of those dances, I would predict
Punam v Paul dance off
Paul out
She won't be able to hide her lack of technique in a Jive. He should never go near an Astaire classic

I think Sam Quek, JB and maybe Paul Merson will be in trouble this week

Punam really failed to achieve a Jive Paul was better at the QS than expected but over-marked Sam's Salsa was stiff

And that Charleston was not worth 10s.
It might have had all the movements and techniques of that dance. But it really felt wrong to that music
It very rarely works to contemporary tunes. Janette and HRVY's dance to the La La Land track was very effective.
Tonight's didn't work for me at all

Well there was both ABBA and a Sondheim.
And I'm proud to have been born and come from the Land Down Under!

I just can’t get behind tasha, she’s the one with the most professional dancing experience and has been at this level since week 1, so I don’t feel like I’m watching someone learn and progress. It’s just boring seeing a polished perfect routine each week.
I thought Paul was brilliant, and it’s definitely forced nick and poonam into the bottom 2.
Some of the scoring was all over the place again tonight, I thought Jamie was a bit stiff in his salsa, but they’re putting him on a pedestal above the rest again.

I threw a vote to Nick. Not because he danced well. But I think he deserves one more chance and going out with an injury never feels right.

Tbh this whole thing around Wynne is very drama-bloodthirsty, like the fandom is waiting to pounce on literally anything remotely dramatic.
The hand thing in isolation could be either inappropriate or just an unfortunate accident, but people using the high-fiving thing as additional proof of him being creepy feels especially tin-foil-hat (as is the digging up of him hosting a Tory fundraiser years ago)
Outside of the core incident of her moving his hand, the scale of the reaction really shows how hungry online discourse is for any drama whatsoever from this series

Ridiculous scoring again this week - too many 8 and 9s plus Tasha did not deserve those 10s. My favourite routine was Montell and Johannes - simple, elegant, no unnecessary fuss/ non- dancing like a few others.

I feel sorry for Shayne, not sure why people seem to dislike him.
I would have rather had Punam in the bottom two, as that jive was awful.

It's not necessarily the case that people dislike Shayne, just that other people are making a more significant impression and are picking up votes. He's not had a great dance to a great song moment at all. Wearing bright yellow is always deadly on Strictly! Besides, Chris and Dianne have already got this series in the bag. Nobody else is coming close in the public vote, so barring accident or injury the glitterball is theirs.

That yellow was absolutely foul. Who on earth thought that was a good idea?

Interesting bit about the show on Marina and Richard’s ‘The Rest is Entertainment’. All about what makes good casting and who will be break out stars.

I disliked a lot of the costumes on Saturday. I know they’ve tinkered around the edges but if they seriously want to refresh then getting a new lead choreographer and costume designer would be a good idea. To be clear I’ve got nothing against either of them and they’ve often done brilliant jobs (although to be honest I’ve found the professional group dances to be a bit ‘meh’) but they’ve done it for a long time and it probably time for a change.

Their relationship seems authentic, and he doesn’t have an issue with speaking his mind which is nice. I was liking the Go Compare man up to all this funny business. Doesn’t matter how close they are…his wandering hand was just bleugh.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how blind is Chris really is? I mean, clearly, to look at him. you can see there's a problem with his eyes however, is he completely blind? Or is there some partial vision?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how blind is Chris really is? I mean, clearly, to look at him. you can see there's a problem with his eyes however, is he completely blind? Or is there some partial vision? I think he can discern light only. He has RP (Retinitis Pigmentosa) which is the condition my best friend has. It’s a genetic disease, degenerative, but different people’s eyesight deteriorates at different speeds. It’s macular degeneration just in the same way as some old folk lose their eyesight as their retinas “wear out” but with RP it’s massively accelerated. My pal describes his as like looking through a pane of glass that has big splodges of paint obscuring his ability to see through. He has to find ways of looking “around” these obstructions but unfortunately the splodges increase in size as the years pass. His vision is really very poor in dark conditions. Sounds like Chris is more advanced than my pal despite being the same age.

Pete with 4 Latin dances and only 1 ballroom, and this week being a rumba?! Hardly seems fair.
Also, I’ve never seen so many rumbas so early into a series.

Some truly horrific costumes this week.
Amy was not coordinated with JB at all
The Paso outfits were distraction
Nancy looked like she had been given a dress made of remnants
I have no idea who will fall into the dance off. But please let us get rid of Punam or Paul.

I haven’t been watching closely. Sarah Hadland, I.thought it was Toyah. The wig, the dance. Absolutely awful.
