A friend recently back from working in France asked me which theatres here host touring European/foreign-language theatre companies. I barely speak any other languages so this is not something know much about (and maybe am missing out), but I suggested the Barbican and Coronet, and the Ukrainian King Lear in Stratford. Can anyone suggest any other venues my friend could look at? He speaks French and Russian, but is not looking for any specific languages.

It might be easier to look at companies working in the Fringe, otherwise yes Coronet and Barbican would be the big ones.
Teatro Multilingue do a whole lot in multiple languages, often as part of fringe festivals (I last saw them at Camden Fringe) - teatromultilingue.com/
I'd also add Foreign Affairs (https://www.foreignaffairs.org.uk/) who translate and produce a lot of work in both pub theatres and going up to Arcola size, and Exchange Theatre (https://www.exchangetheatre.com) who do the same.
Specific theatres that I know have put on work not in English include Omnibus Clapham, The Playground, Etcetera, Camden People's - so I think the longer answer is probably any of the fringe theatres can or will put 'em on.

Thank you Dave B. I've just pasted that into a text to my friend. It's just the kind of thing I was hoping for. He can subscribe to the mailing lists for all of those places and see what comes up.

Thanks kyvai. I'll pass that one on to my friend too.
