“I cook like Fanny Craddock and I look like Doris Speed” wouldn’t be quite the same. This should be framed.

This will transfer for a short stint into London. Do you have any more information on this?

Is anybody going to see it tonight? I want to see it in January, but I’m a little anxious after hearing the UK accents.

Has Audrey ll been eating the cast and stage crew? Did they suddenly realise that they needed a dialect coach?

At the interval now of tonight’s performance.
Full regional uk accents -Seymour is brummie. It isn’t explicitly set here as far as I can telll
Some interesting staging choices but I’m struggling to get past that. No lyrics have been changed so far that I can tell.

Sam Buttery was magnificent as Audrey II. The staging had a contemporary quality (a lot of digital screens and council workers in hi-vis) which made the time period specific lyrics strange (even without factoring the accents). I need to sit with it a bit but Act 2 may have won me over. Evening performance finished at 9.30pm.

Is Audrey II performed with a U.K. accent?

I've always quite fancied doing a production with an Audrey II with a more Tim Curry/Frank n Furter-esque voice, rather than the traditional soulful/motown sound... but not if the rest of the cast are doing confusing Brum accents
