Sorry if there is already a thread for this - I couldn't find one but it's often easy to miss something.
Has anyone else seen this? I was there on Wednesday and can't help but be incredibly shocked by the reviews. 3 and 4 stars is what I'm seeing, but I thought at best it deserved 1.5. The dialogue was awkward and unrealistic, the character development was messy and at times non-nonsensical, and it clearly wanted to say something about both social media and bullying but really never made any actual point about either so the topics were just left in very forced pockets at arbitrary moments throughout. The final monologue was really the kicker though. I'm sure it was supposed to be serious, but the urge to laugh at the over-worked words that no teenager anywhere in the world has ever said was so strong. I had to warn a few people off seeing it, not wanting them to have to sit through it. Oh the woes of a bad show in a small theatre with no interval - you're pretty much stuck there!
