Strat is covered in blood due to the 'quite bad' motorcycle crash he has just been involved in.
Cast Recording seems to be happening but constantly shifting dates.
Raven is not frozen no, hence Strat singing IWDAFL to her when she says he'll forget her when she is old & grey and he is still a hot young buck.

I know that's why he was singing it, but I thought her parents were hinting that she was in the first half. Falco's transformation? Does Zahara shoot him and he has a character transformation as a result?!

No, he gets pushed into the toxic pool and comes out dressed in different clothes 90 seconds later. You're meant to be impressed with the underwater quick change.

Disappointed there was no song list in the programme. Did they ever do separate programmes and brochures or has it always been an all in one?

If only there were some world wide facility to search for any piece of information you could ever possibly want...

If only there were some world wide facility to search for any piece of information you could ever possibly want... Seriously what is your problem? This is meant to be a nice place where we can discuss things. If you don't want to respond then just don't. No need to be so rude about it.

I've never timed it but I would describe it as long enough that it's impressive he holds his breath that long (he doesn't, there's a little water-less space he can go to breathe) but not so long that it's boring.

I wasn't asking for the song list, just stating disappointment at the lack of a song list in the programme/brochure as it's nice to have everything in one place without having to rely on the Internet. Thanks @theatremonkey.

Disappointed there was no song list in the programme. Did they ever do separate programmes and brochures or has it always been an all in one? So in Manchester they did. There was the usual ATG programme. This had a song list in it (was in alphabetical rather than show order - was also extensive and many had been cut by time i saw it at the end of the Manchester one). Then the brochure in Manchester was almost identical to the ENO one - though nearly all the photos were updated, but of the same scenes interestingly. You can spot that quite a few people have different costumes. Was annoying that ENO didn't do a smaller programme as an alternate offering. Everything about that place seemed to be about money grabbing.

I still think that's a fabulous stunt. I was also childishly impressed by the bats with red eyes flapping across at the end. I also like coloured glass and anything shiny.

is there now no CD coming out? Autumn apparently. Much like The Girls CD though it's definitely been made but the release date keeps moving further and further out of reach. Will believe it when I'm holding it (which I really hope will happen). As they've just cut It Won't Quit and make a few edits I wonder if they are waiting until the show is 'finalised' (to the extent that musicals ever are). Wonder if they will do a double or single CD? Steinman songs all being about 10 mins long lol, there would need to be some serious editing to get it onto a single. Hope they go for a complete recording!

While this is true, Rob very rarely used it as far as I'm aware. Although there were a few days when he jumped out early because he had an infection and the water was freezing!

I'm looking forward to the CD as I really enjoyed the vocals.

Thank you. I saw a small one on eBay and saw it was from Manchester and wondered if they'd ever done them in London. I'm looking forward to the CD as I really enjoyed the vocals. How was It Just Won't Quit staged? What other cuts have been made? (Sorry for more questions.) It was the third song in the show, sung after 'Who Needs The Young' and before 'Out Of The Frying Pan'. It was staged on two levels, with Raven up in her bedroom and Strat and the Lost below, in their lair. Raven would sing the first part of the song in her bedroom, dancing, while her image was projected on the wall stage right; below, some of the Lost were mirroring the same choreography. Strat joined in in the second verse, and Tink sang the last line. A really good song and I thought it was brilliantly staged. I actually enjoyed the choreography in that number. Hope they put it back in eventually. The only other cut I recall is 'Good Girls Go To Heaven' being replaced by 'Out Of The Frying Pan' between Manchester and London. And they keep on trying to fix the dialogue, for better or worse. Also, I might be going crazy but I swear Raven used to fly on wires in 'Heaven Can Wait' in Manchester...

Here's a little bit of history for you all. I have been researching June Bronhill in the EMI Archives and I came across a memo dated 10 September 1958 from the EMI recording producer Norman Newell to the Managing Director of EMI Records Ltd just after Norman had recorded highlights from the Sadler's Wells production of 'The Merry Widow' with June Bronhill that was playing a summer season at the Coliseum, well before it became the home of Sadler's Wells Opera which then became English National Opera:
"I attended the last night of 'THE MERRY WIDOW' at the Coliseum prior to its tour and never in my theatrical experience have I seen any reception to equal the one they received on this occasion."
'Bat Out Of Hell', eat your heart out! No, I'm joking. Tuesday night was fantabulous and I was very happy to be cheering along at the end.

Ooh, I didn't know this. That's VERY impressive then, he's down there a slightly uncomfortably long time. I did wonder if he was actually going to come back up again the first time I saw it. Such a talented cast, I hope it's the same company, at least for a while, when it returns in 2018.

If they got the cast to record full unabridged versions of all of the songs they sing bits of in the show, I would be happy to pay far more than usual cast recording price for the full package.
