Bat Out Of Hell audiences have always been awful. If I had to take a guess at which show this whole thing happened at, BooH would be my first choice. It's a nightmare. I still remember when someone throw one of those BooH beer bottles at someone else. I haven't found BOOH audiences that bad, the first show of the tour back in Manchester there was a couple that kept filming the show (sat front row so everyone could see it) and kept whispering to each other, but other than that everyone was behaved. Rocky Horror 'fans' are have always been the worst audiences. I'm comfortable with the audience participation, but I have been punched by an over excited fan for not standing for the Time Warp fast enough, and had to leave their Facebook group for the way they talk about newbies and the casual theatre goer - the Rocky Fans are just too entitled. I've said this before but Rocky Horror needs a new production that goes back to its B Movie roots and perhaps wean itself off the movie and be it's own thing, I'd go as far as getting rid of the audience participation.

The muck up matinee yesterday was the usual fun with lots going on.
The last performance was something else though. Emotions running really high, lots of tears on stage and a very well deserved standing ovation at the end of Body which I’ve never heard sang better or with more emotion.
Although an envelope opened on stage by Rob said that Bat is coming back, it all felt very final last night.the last. Having Bat tour for the last 18 months has been brilliant, especially post Covid, and it feels rather strange this morning knowing that I have no more Bat shows so look forward.

I fear that if it comes back it will be even more watered down.

How do they manage it at The Palace Manchester? It’s on the junction of two very busy main roads and despite living round the corner for 17 years I’ve never seen trucks parked outside. Apologies for resurrecting an old post but I remembered this and I believe I have the answer - there is a service tunnel on Atwood Street which looks like it leads to the very back of the Palace.

Just google mapped Atwood Street, yep looks like that might be the case. Thanks aingidh

I’m not sure I’d want it back in that state tbh. I know money etc, but it was not much better than one of the Steve Steinman efforts touring the country, by the end. It was created as a massive spectacular. Just sing it as a concert if you can’t afford to maintain the spectacle, and charge accordingly.

I don’t think I’d enjoy the concert version as much, there were rumours at one point that the Australia/NZ concert tour version would be going out next year around the UK but I can’t see that it would sell well in arenas.

Having suffered through the Australia version live, I would NOT want to see that again. And it wasn't selling out by a mile in Sydney, despite the show being brand-new there and a one-off tour stop. So it would never fill arenas in the UK where it's already done a round.
I'd rather see it gone forever and just live with the memories of the glorious spectacle at the Dominion.

Add me to the list of people that gasped at the thought of a comeback when this thread was bumped!
Worse thing (by far) about the tour was the audience (mainly went Saturday nights which probs didn’t help).
As a version that could play a multitude of venues I actually thought they did a pretty good job. Set wise yes, somewhat diminished. But the lighting was fantastic. The sound was great. And the awesome cast and band nailed those epic songs!

I've loved all version of Bat Out Of Hell so far, but think the last UK tour was underwhelming compared to the epicness of the previous versions. I'd love to see it come back in its original form.

I mean. Unless it’s a rumour that came from somewhere else 🤷🏻♂️ Or we’re now just being trolled 😂
But yes. A thread being bumped now being enough for a Twitter “rumour” is a new one on me….

Here's another one for Shaun to pop on his socials as an exclusive: Martin Guerre definitely returning to London.

In Trafalgar Square listening in on the West End Live soundcheck and I’ve just heard someone say “and that’s when I’ll say ‘you can catch us on tour across the UK in 2025’” and now they’re playing the title track from this, so I’d assume the “mystery show” mentioned in the WEL running order is Bat Out of Hell and a new UK Tour announcement is imminent… Or 👀 as the kids would say
