Yet to see any announcement for this but it appears the tour is making a stop in London at the Peacock, February to April next year. Currently only showing on the tour dates list of www.batoutofhellmusical.com/uk-tour/ with no more information Great news - current tour cast are excellent!

I’d booked multiple Wimbledon and Woking tickets as they were the easiest to get to, but having it back in London for 6 weeks or so will be fantastic!

I was in for the matinee yesterday, and this really is in very good shape. It’s Sharon’s last week next before going on maternity leave, so it’ll be interesting to see who will cover that, whether it will be an existing cover or if they will bring someone new in.

I'll tell you what, those Paul Mathew drivers know their stuff. Because of you-know-what taking place you-know-where, the driver of the last truck to arrive had just a five minute window to drive in, reverse up to the scenery dock, uncouple and drive off.
There was a couple sitting in their deckchairs, beers at the ready, waiting for coverage to start on the big screen. They weren't moving for owt!

I've only ever had an issue with a handful. One was a right grumpy git until he fell off the back of the truck when the floor pack went over. He's been surprisingly cheerful ever since. And it's nice on the bigger gigs where you get a regular driver. Some venue load ins are crazy. Richmond is a dead end so they have to reverse a couple of hundred meters with cars parked either side. Dartford they've got only about a foot either side and no real way to see where the Dock door is. And I always enjoy Cambridge Arts as they just have to park and accept the bollocking and fine from the traffic warden.

We once had a guy who flat out refused to do anything - "bad back", "not paid enough for this ****". I'm a bit rubbish with those straps, luckily others were more competent than me, but the guy was all kinds of rude and difficult. Oh, and for some reason he had a few props in his cab (?!) Not worked at the other two..

Why on earth did anyone think building a theatre with a scene dock door about a hundred yards down a passage too narrow for vehicular access was a good idea?!

How do they manage it at The Palace Manchester? It’s on the junction of two very busy main roads and despite living round the corner for 17 years I’ve never seen trucks parked outside.

Judging by some footage from the end of today’s matinee, the announcement for 2023 is coming soon, along with some new footage as they sung IWDAFL and Dead Ringer as the encore and both were filmed.

From memory of the Wicked tour closing there a few years ago, things like props, costumes etc were wheeled out through stage door and FOH, then I imagine the loading/unloading takes place overnight. I think their dock is at the Whitworth Street end?

The Peacock is owned by LSE who lease it to Sadlers Wells. I think it's still used for lectures during the day hence why it's restricted as a theatre.

For a brief heartstopping moment there I thought it would be Willemijn and got very excited.

That would have been amazing I saw Willemijn and not Franziska in that dreadful car crash, which I stupidly inflicted on myself, but I'm sure she'll be doing a good job and I admittedly like the idea of a "guest star". Seeing her in Eastbourne in two weeks hopefully.

Presale for members went live this morning- top price is £75. Membership for Sadlers Wells is £75 for the year and you get 20% off tickets. Very much worth it if you are buying multiple tickets, I saved quite a lot of money today... whilst spending a lot more!

I think they only allow you to buy 6 discounted tickets, my maths is terrible but I think that means that even if you buy 6 top price £75 tickets you still only save £15 overall (taking into account the £75 membership). If you are going to buy 6 top price tickets then it's definitely worth doing but probably not if you are purchasing less than 6 tickets or tickets in other price bands. I think I'm going to hold off because I imagine there will be some discounts nearer the time.

Will it? They didn’t sell out their two weeks in Wimbledon and that was literally a week after Meat Loaf passed away. Sure being in central London instead of a bit out will help a bit but I don’t think it’s gonna sell out? I’m sure there will be a TodayTix rush at least, and possibly offers in the New Year Sale.

It was selling awfully at the Dominion a few years ago. That's why it closed. Not even the super fans were actually paying for their tickets by the end...
