Inevitable news today, although like many others I had hoped we’d get a few more months. I’m so glad that I booked tickets for the 5th just in case. My eldest has asked to go before it closes so I’ll book us in at some point soon.
Such a shame, they’re just an amazingly talented cast.

It’s a shame but not a surprise. Perhaps Moulin Rouge can get fast tracked here before Broadway, or more likely, the Starlight Express revival. Moulin Rouge hasn't even announced a Broadway date. And the Dominion is way too large. It's an elaborate show on a rather small/average size stage.

'Fun Home' might get that transfer after all. They could put us all on the stage and not bother with the auditorium I think. Closure announcement has finally pushed me to book for this so it is my Halloween matinee before Wicked in the evening :-)

Will be sad to see this go. As random as it is there are some great performances in it.
Do we think Frozen will go here or to Drury Lane? I also heard from one of the cast in Aladdin that they want to move that somewhere as they only got their notice as Cameron Mackintosh wanted the theatre back for Mary Poppins as it’s produced with Disney. But still wanted Aladdin on somewhere else? Sounds odd to me as last time I saw Aladdin the top was closed.

Today I shall be wearing a black armband. The only positive I can see is that it gives this phenomenol cast a chance to go and be this awesome in something else. Maybe they’ll tour it, but probably not with that set, on that scale. A sad day indeed, but not an unexpected one.

I have to agree with you regarding the cast because, although the musical itself didn't really work for me, the energy and performances were wonderful.
I think this could do well touring and Scottish audiences would likely eat it up. If it could sell then it's the type of show that wouldn't be dwarfed at the Playhouse (Edinburgh) as many smaller shows have before.
I hope it's not the last week see of this.

Maybe if it had been able to go straight to the Dominion last September it could have run a bit longer, who knows? I wonder about that, too. It really struggled in the first months with the heatwave and the world cup, then seemed to pick up for a while, but advance bookings for the next few months were dire. They must have hoped for more there, as the dark grey autumn months and the pre-christmas period with tourists, christmas shoppers and company outings should have meant better business. I know that Coliseum+Dominion put together meant a full year-run in big houses and that's certainly not bad, but how this didn't last further when WWRY managed ten years and there's such a big demand for a glorified tribute act like Tina - the Musical, is beyond me. I would have thought BOOH would become the go-to-show for all those who aren't really keen on musicals and were looking for a fun night out with glorious rock music. It was a niche they had pretty much for themselves.

They can change quite a bit- there is a Strat schedule on the website so you can check. It can change though- the last time I went it should have been Simon but so many of the cast were off, Jordan did it instead.

Anyone know why the performance timetable above seemingly misses the week beginning the 15th? The last one they mention is Saturday 13th, then skips to Monday 22nd 🤔

So presumably has now left? Official site still lists him as part of the cast, but I'm pretty sure he can't do both at the same time.

We still have 2 tickets for the show on the 26th of October. We can't travel to the UK due to a health issue. If anybody wants to have them, take a look in the noticeboard. At this rate we rather give them away for free then have them collecting dust, figuratively speaking! (the dust, the tickets are etickets )

I was wondering that. If I were him, I'd hedge my bets, take some holiday leave and try to hang on to the day job, just it case it's a week 1 exit... I suspect they have to sign their life away for a few months.
After they're eliminated, I'm fairly sure they have a series of interviews on various shows, then a round of night club appearances up and down the country. Then return for the TV final and some form of tour (even if they only get one song).

I think only the top 6/8 get to do the tour. I’m not really sure why he’s doing it but it isn’t my business is it?
