Does anyone have any Idea where and when this is coming to London? the general concensus is the Dominion, at some point in the Spring. Nothing concrete yet of course. ...apart from The Dominion itself. That is totally concrete and lots of velour with chewing gum stuck to it.

Nothing. The producers are rather eager to branch out but the show is still coming to London next spring.

I suspect Broadway will depend on how it fares in London and US tour. It'll need a big theatre and they're in short supply on Broadway

I think it'd do quite well on Broadway but I imagine much like Dirty Dancing and The Bodyguard, it'll just tour.

My understanding was the current is destined for Broadway. A more compact set is being constructed to allow for runs at less cavernous venues, and to allow touring.

The current set that's being used in Toronto? I thought that was coming back to London for a run in 2018? I guess the London return is definitely secured because they publicly announced it and it'd be embarrassing for them to have to backtrack and say it's not happening.

They kind of announced it in that appalling live stream after the last show by just saying London 2018. It would be difficult to backtrack on.

London return is definitely secured because they publicly announced it Welcome to the board The Lost . Where was it publically announced? Only heard that they want to bring it back, but no theatre / timings that I've seen? Thanks for the welcome. Yes, that's what I meant, Andrew and Christina did that live stream saying the show would be back in 2018, it'd be a bit of a humiliating climb down for the producers to have to admit that's not happening. I know there've been Dominion rumours but as far as I'm aware nobody actually knows anything. It would make sense for them to finish up in Toronto in January (if they don't extend again), give the cast a couple of months off while the set is transported back and the creative time do some rewrites, to open at the Dominion some time in April or May but this is wishful thinking rather than a concrete plan.

If it's coming back, they need to announce something now. There was terrific word of mouth when it was in London and based on that alone, it SHOULD be coming back. But if they wait too long, the buzz may fizzle out...

the buzz may fizzle out... I was at a trade show this week, the buzz is still there and the cast album release is carrying it. I think they can ride it for a few months yet. I hope so! I've been playing the cast recording a lot and would love to see it again. In the meantime I shall have to content myself with Tanz der Vampire, which I've actually booked for.

I’ve had a few days with the album now and I am a tiny bit disappointed with the way some of the leads sound. On stage it really does ‘rock’; whether that is down to volume or the orchestra & band I don’t know, but I don’t think this does justice to anyone other than Danielle Steers and Sharon Sexton. Everyone else sounds like they are in a musical, not a gigantic ball of noise rock show. ‘Objects’ sounds great, ‘BOOH’ sounds great. but nothing else really matches up to the spectacle. Maybe it will grow on me?

I imagine if it's going to the Dominion, it'll probably be opening late February/early March

Glad this looks like it's definitely coming back as I didn't get the chance to see it earlier this year. Given the fact the audition call says rehearsals will start in Feb kind of confirms to me it'll be going into the Dominion, there aren't any others it could go in are there?

Glad to hear Bat is auditioning later this month for its London run next year.
I have in front of me the printed glossy flyer they distributed at the last night at the Coliseum announcing the "return of 'Bat Out Of Hell The Musical' to the London stage" and headed:
SEE YOU IN LONDON IN 2018
I know this has all been superceded by the open audition announcement but those of us who saw or heard that earlier very official-looking announcement have never lost faith!

According to this tweet from the casting agent, it looks like a one year contact from February 2018. Assuming that includes rehearsal time, I’d expect an opening in March/April of next year.

Will this be an entirely new cast or just a few additions because former cast members are moving on to other things?
yea, I admit it, I had a massive crush on Andrew Polec, I hope he'll be coming back to London with the show.

I'd love to see Oli Tompsett do this. Is he currently available?

I'd love to see Oli Tompsett do this. Is he currently available? As Strat? The eternal 18 year old?

No, let’s keep it authentic please. It’s enough of a stretch believing some of the current Lost are under 18’s, without throwing Stockard Channing into the mix! 😂
