BARE comes to The London Palladium on Sunday 7 April, in an unmissable one-night-concert.

Booked for this although it's not a musical I know at all. I have listened to a couple of tracks on the cast recording which seem OK. Nice also to see something I've never seen before.

Wow the Palladium seems like a huge venue for this, but praying they add a matinee/second performance (I have tickets for the London Eurovision Party that night!).
I have the 2007 off-Broadway cast recording on dvd and went to the 2019 production at The Vaults (which had lots of sound and sightline issues) - so would love to see a bigger/fuller production.

Saw this at the Union as it's gives very Spring Awakening / Heathers / Cruel Intentions vibes.
I enjoyed it - worth a watch and Laurie was amazing in the Almeida's Spring Awakening.

Don't want to bother with it if it's something completely different but I can't find anything saying Bare the pop opera.

I'm only a few tracks in and it's not bad. Judging by the number of tracks I presume it's sung through and, I believe, it's meant to be a "pop opera". Intend to listen to the rest whilst doing the ironing today. |

Intend to listen to the rest whilst doing the ironing today. It is one of my favourites. So many gorgeous melodies, dynamic power ballads and overwrought emotions. Naff slightly sleazy story, like an episode of 90210 or something, but the score delivers. |

I have the cast recording and have seen two amateur productions of this show so and vert familiar with this piece.
I would like to see a professional production, one day.
Apart from the central gay love story, this show also touches on other themes such as honestly, body dysmorphia, self harm, pregnancy, drug abuse, relationships- with parents and others- to name just a few.
The difficulty I guess when cast is getting actors who look young enough to pass of a high school students.
This should be the show that all the teens are going to!
