Any ideas? Looks to be a concert at the Palladium announced tomorrow at 11am for April.
Recognise the music but can’t put my finger on it!

Pippin is one of my favourite musicals. Would make an excellent concert especially with a good cast.

Certainly sounds like Pippin.
Great news, I missed out on tickets for Mountview’s production of it next week so happy to finally get a chance to see it in some form.

Really enjoyed Pippin at The Charing Cross theatre a while back. Would love to see it again. Great score.

They need to cast a grande dame as Berthe, not some 40 something

Annoyingly I think they have - heard there's a female Broadway name coming too (but this could be wrong)

Produced by Aria Entertainment who produced the Hope Mill production in Manchester and the transfer to the Southwark Playhouse (with Carter Dixon McGill now joining them), and directed by Jonathan O'Boyle who directed that production as well.
Will be interesting to see what they can bring to this that hasn't been done before but the initial lead casting is interesting and having a large orchestra and choir will be a dream.
Also sounds like Stephen Schwartz will be there, given his quote.

The WOS article says on sale now but website says tomorrow. Frustrating. Is there a pre-sale for some group or another?

They've mentioned on Twitter/X that there's a pre-sale today and general on-sale tomorrow. No idea how you get hold of the pre-sale tickets though.

I would imagine they'll be performing the role of the Leading Player - as that would seem (to me at least) to be a fairly good fit vocally and in terms of overall stage presence, charisma, etc. (especially if we use the most recent Broadway revival which opened with Patina Miller as a reference). If this is the case, they better have chosen a Pippin who is also a really strong vocalist and who has a certain personality as well, or Alex Newell will totally eclipse them. I've seen Alex perform live only once (in the Broadway revival of 'Once on this island') and let me tell you that there was nothing subtle or small or quiet about their take on Asaka, and I wouldn't expect that kind of energy should they actually be the Leading Player here.

I've booked for this, one of my favourite musicals. Sitting further back in the stalls than I normally would due to the prices but there is a whole mid section of stalls off sale which I presume will be released tomorrow for general sale. I am also looking forward to seeing Alex Newell as I love her voice on the Shucked cast recording. I'm guessing she will be The Main Player?

I must admit I'm shocked at how little tickets have sold right now lol. Most people will never have heard of Pippin , I must admit I thought the Palladium a bit ambitious for this. I've only seen it once at the Menier I think, but did really enjoy it.Hope the sales pick up.
