As much as I enjoy Jamie Muscato as a performer I am a little disappointed that Aneurin Barnard seemingly isn't making a return, but I guess they can't make it work around his filming schedules. I was really hoping they'd be able to make it work for him!

Jamie was originally Georg if I remember correctly? So I guess they'll need someone else in for that role as well.

Jamie was in the ensemble and understudy Georg. Also very glad I booked a ticket as soon as it was announced just in case.
According to the list that Evelyn has posted on her instagram today, Aneurin, Iwan and Jamie Blackley (Hanschen) are missing from the original "child" cast. I wonder if Richard Southgate (Moritz understudy) will play him, or if they'll get someone new.
Edit: That's what I get for not realising there was a page two before replying, oops!

I was originally due to be out of London for this and now I'm not but of course it's now basically sold out. Just putting this out there in case anyone has a spare ticket they are planning to sell. (Though I've just seen they've announced more of the cast so imagine there will also be increased demand).
What's the likelihood of a second show?

Aghh! I would love to see Jack Wolfe as Moritz in Spring Awakening. Beyond this concert, there needs to another revival with Jack playing that role.

There is a sign saying there are no programmes until the interval because their "courier" "totally f-cked" them lol.
There is a cast list board that includes both Jack Wolfe and Richard Southgate.

They only have 20 in the Grand so my son has gone off in search with my card in hand! A tiny bit shambolic but the concert is lovely.

Now the interval.
Loving it so far but the crowd control and navigation to public spaces of VP is a mess. Crowd crammed into lobby and moving very slowly…
But the presentation so far in top notch.

If anyone can take a photo of the page showing who is playing who and share it that would be great as I am rubbish at recognising people (and spent all my money on a signed poster anyway!!!) Loving the show so far

They’d all been sold on every level. There are loads in a warehouse somewhere apparently. Given how excellent the sound & presentation was (I counted one narrowly missed mic cue) I’ll forgive them underestimating how enthused everyone would be. However, the selfish d!ckheads that were seen buying 5/6 programmes deserve everything karma can rain on them. A fab night that shouldn’t be marred by one small error.
NB The Hamilton team got a big shout out for looking after them so I wonder if they did the sound?

I made the right choice plumping for the signed poster when I only had a second to decide then! Brilliant performances, great sound and like you say only one mic error I noticed and one line flub. I was devastated to miss it at the almeida after loving it all those years ago (including closing night) and this gives me some closure on that.

I am looking forward to the Almeida version finally turning up on one of the MT streamers eventually. It was magnificent and made sense of the material & relationships in a much more satisfying way.

I agree with danb about the sound. It was really great. Similarly assumed Hamilton may have helped with sound given they got a thank you in the speeches.

This was indeed pretty glorious - Nigel Lilley’s band sounded amazing and the cast were all on top form. The cast were mostly off book and it was great to have the music really at the centre - no one was trying to over complicate the concert with interpretive dance or anything like that. Also, Why is Charlotte Wakefield not a bigger name in the industry?? Her voice seems to get better with age. Jamie Muscato was a very good Melchior and slid himself into the cast very well. There was a pretty wonderful show stopping moment in act 2 after Totally ****** where many people were on their feet. I must say the one who really took my breath away though was Jack Wolfe - the material sits so well in his voice and you can tell how much he loves the show. He made Moritz his own and I had chills during Don’t Do Sadness - he looked like a superstar.
I was very fortunate to be one of a few who got a programme - £15 but for a one night only I didn’t mind too much. They sold out very quickly in the interval but saw a line of people buying after the show so don’t know how many more were available after… Will echo previous comment that it would be great to have the Almeida version available for streaming - missed it due to illness and would love to see that production too

Well... what a special evening that was! A shame about the programme situation. I had missed the sign in the foyer so had assumed they weren't doing them until the girl behind me told the people that she was with that they had sold out.
It was wonderful to see the cast back together and to hear them sing that score. Jack Wolfe was very pleasant addition, and I thought he was a brilliant Moritz. I'd be interested to see what he would be like in a full production.
