I know in previous years we've had Anything Goes and Sondheim's Old Friends – are there any good stage show being broadcast this winter?

Murder is Easy
What a poor piece of work.
Decent cast squandered on a woeful adaptation that didn't know how to handle tone.
How the writer got the commission with no screenwriting credits of their own is hard to understand.

Very little on linear tv appealed to me this year apart from a few classic films that I've seen countless times, even though I still indulge the ritual of buying the Radio Times Xmas issues.
I enjoyed the Only Connect and House of Games festive specials. Is it too shameful to say that, camped up in a London hotel, I turned on BBC1 last night after returning from the Almeida, to find myself watching Mrs Brown's Boys and laughed out loud a few times? Oh dear!

I'm convinced there's a BBC committee that meets annually in New Broadcasting House to decide which Agatha Christie is next in line to be murdered (pun intended).
