Thanks Dave. Can anyone who's reached the front of the queue see when the press night is, and whether there are any reductions to these prices in the preview period? I booked for 14th September, second day of performances. At the time of booking prices were exactly like the October ones Dave posted |

Finally received my link and booked for 18th Sept. Had the same payment issue and had to phone the box office to complete.

Got through to the booking page but their website couldn’t process my payment, either on mobile or PC. Not sure if it was them or me. Helpfully they’ve automatically reserved the ticket I was trying to buy until tomorrow, so will have to try again later. Pricey! I had the same problem with payment. Phoned the box office. Had a five minute wait but the box office was able to process may payment ok.
I like the way their system reserves the ticket for 24 hours. Much better and less stressful than the usual way the ticket is held and you have 20 minutes or whatever to complete your purchase.
Glad it wasn’t just me! Also phoned the box office who were quick to sort. |

I didn't click the email link until 10.40. Long wait, a fiddle-arse at the end, but all good. £20 for front row of the Gods. Just have to saw my legs off at the knees now.

I got that. Close the window and click the email link again. You don't lose your place and you go straight through.

Looking at the new poster image for this it looks good be like it will be a modern dress production. Whishaw seems to be in a track suit and Msamati slightly more modern suit. I feel like you can't go too radical with Beckett but it's interesting. Any ideas on who else may be in this ?

Can anyone who got in early give an idea of ticket prices? Do we even know how long it's booking for, 24 Sept to when? 14 December, here is a random Saturday night in October.  Since when is the end of the row a premium seat? 😂 |

Does anyone know how high the stage is at the Haymarket? I've never visited myself but am looking at stalls row F for this... really would like to see Ben Whishaw again after seeing his John Proctor on Broadway. Any advice much appreciated

I don't think they change it much. I think it is quite a comfortable theatre with stalls not too huge so even back rows are ok and right at the front the stage is fine. There are some seats at the end of rows with more leg room for those of us who are knee challenged. Dunno about the shelves but I think the whole theatre isn’t huge.

The Haymarket Theatre Royal is indeed a very beautiful and largely very comfortable theatre, with the notable exception of the Gallery - which IMHO is by far the worst in the West End. I sat there for Act 1 of "Marguerite" back in 2008 - the show was not a success and fortunately there were ample empty seats in the Upper Circle which I moved into for Act 2. As far as I know, it has received little improvement since 1905 - maybe the thin layer of padding for your butt (none for your back)? It also feels very remote from the stage, despite the TR being relatively intimate, and is at the rear of, rather than overhanging, the Upper Circle.
Don't even think of the £15 rear gallery seats unless you really want to suffer for your art.
My advice would be to spend an extra fiver and go for the Upper Circle seats (green on the plan above) - even the side ones! In the Royal Circle and Stalls, you may miss the upper stage due to the cut-off of the level above.

My gallery days are over: couldn’t see/hear or do the stairs 🤪 I look for the slightly cheaper in the stalls and this theatre has ‘em.
