I’ve heard Ms Driver has been looking for a musical to star in for a while now. …and her persona is quite ‘Kate’-ish across her film & sitcom work. She was fantastic in ‘Sexual Perversity in Chicago’ with Matthew Perry et al many moons ago. I could get on board with this.

I'm going against popular opinion and say that I don't like this musical. OK I've only seen the film on TV and found it really boring with only a couple of decent songs. Don't know how different the stage show is.

Don't know how different the stage show is. Agree. Also the dodgy misogyny in it is deeply unpalatable in todays age. A really boring choice of show to revive.

Count me in as part of the 'less-enthused' crowd. And didn't we just have a revival of this at The Old Vic not all that long ago?
It has a handful of great Cole Porter tunes but alas, some not-so great ones in the show within a show sequences.
Will give this one a miss no matter who they put in it.

Yeah it's not a show I think I'd rush to see. Enjoy the movie from time to time but otherwise a one and done.
I can completely see Minnie Driver act it perfectly, but sing it? She had to be dubbed in the Phantom movie.

I love the score, but i like old fashioned sh!t. Due to its themes its difficult to stage it in a way that is respectful but doable, to me thats part of the fun - Im looking forward to see this on stage again.

Oh I love Kiss Me Kate - gorgeous score (So In Love, Wunderbar, I Hate Men, Always True To You, Too Darn Hot? Come on now)
Driver a bit of a wild choice but I'd certainly go.

Can’t believe I actually guessed one of these correctly.

I'm excited. I saw the Waddingham/Nunn production at Chichester and just thought it was heavenly. I remember most of the numbers bringing the house down.
It was the first time I'd seen her and didn't realise what a star she was. And now, thankfully, IS.

Adrian Dunbar is odd casting. I hope he can do better than he did in Hamlet at the Young Vic. On the other hand, Stephanie J. Block is wonderful casting. Curious to see which version of the book they'll use and how much they are going to tinker with it.

Adrian Dunbar is absolutely bizarre casting! Can he even sing?
Stephanie J B has made me interested to see it
This production was due to be directed by someone else , and star Driver. That clearly went wrong and this version replaces it.

Dunbar is very peculiar casting for this role. Curious as to how Block will sing it too.

Dunbar is very peculiar casting for this role. “There's only one thing I'm interested in and that is putting on a musical version of Taming of the Shrew”

Hasn’t that role always been played by someone… obviously attractive/hunky?

He surely is different from the golden-voiced and matinee-idol-looking Brian Stokes Mitchell, Brent Barrett and Will Chase.
