I don’t really mind that much about the key being lowered. I’m just not waiting for them to announce the release date for the live album which hopefully not be long.

Oh they've lowered the keys for her? Absolutely not.

But having seen Beverley absolutely rock this score it’s just not a joy to the ears now ESPECIALLY in the lower keys. They should have ended the run when Beverley left. I saw a deal the other week that was selling most of the auditorium off for £15/£20 for 2 whole weeks. Doesn’t bode very well!

I’m just hoping that they don’t cancel the run because of the ticket sales but I doubt they will because I can’t imagine what will be in the Dominion until September. I did think Alexandra sounded pitchy in the videos I saw of the second UK tour but I do think she sounds better in this production (obviously she’s not in Bev’s league but I can’t think of anyone who is).
I’m really hoping we’ll hear some news regarding the cast album soon because it’s been weeks since they’ve recorded it.

They might be better waiting until the end of Alexandra’s run before selling a CD with Beverley singing the songs.

I also think we've been quite spoilt with the turnaround time on recent cast recording releases, I feel like about 10 years ago+ they used to take months and months!

Show is selling abysmally now, if sales do not pick up. It could close 3rd August instead.

Has the theatre been quite empty during Alexandra’s run?

They won't close early, but yeah...this is doing badly since Bev left...

They won't close early, but yeah...this is doing badly since Bev left... It was like that even before the show started but I think it might’ve been the lack of star casting. There were loads of availability for Bev’s before Ruth was announced. I would’ve thought that the sales would pick up when it was announced Ruth would be staying on but I’m with you on the run not being cancelled because I can’t imagine what else will be in the Dominion until then.

It was pretty full last Friday when I went - tbh I think this will tick along just fine with last minute sales from TKTS etc to summer tourists - it's the perfect family feel good show for that!

At 2000 seats a night, for 12 weeks or whatever, I honestly think most people who really wanted to see it, saw it with Bev and Ruth - I know people like Alexandra (in musicals I'm not one of those people) but she toured the country with it for a year (albeit a different production a while ago) so I'm not really sure that people are that bothered. I don't think Ruth extending really did much/anything to help with sales. Considering this is seemingly on a never ending UK tour too (which is doing well with X from Corrie as Mother Superior) I'm not really sure the ladies from the North will bother coming all the way to London to see it when they could just see it at their local (and it's EXACTLY the same cheap production....!) The Dominion is an absolute barn as we know, it's where shows go to die since WWRY. This'll push through to it's August closing date, but expect to be inundated with offers.

It's such a huge venue to fill!

When I think about it I do agree with beingalive and ladidah with it being big venue to fill. I just kinda feel for the cast and crew for the amount of availability for the rest of the run.

Does anyone know what a cast album pick up day is? Natalia Brown put it her on Instagram stories that they were doing it today (I swear when I mention something about this production of Sister Act something happens).

I imagine it may be getting some extra takes of some sections of the show that may get lost with audience noises etc - I know quite a lot of live albums do this and blend in with the live takes they've done - so perhaps Bev is back for the day!

Agh right! That does make sense. Maybe we might hear some news regarding the album in the next coming days.

They won't release an album with Bev singing the songs infinitely better than Alexandra whilst the show is still on - it would just be mad to.
We won't be seeing it til September at the earliest
