Davina has just said on Comic Relief that this will be going to the West End. Would this fit in the Harold Pinter?

Really? Wow. She wasn't referring to it being on currently?

Really? Wow. She wasn't referring to it being on currently? "After a sellout run at the Old Vic ... Just for One Day will taking to the stage in the West End so look out for announcements soon"

Jeez it was terrible on Comic Relief. Reminded me how horribly and amateur it was on stage. I am sure there will be an audience for it though

Was it live tonight? Who’s at the Old Vic? I think it was being done by professionals at the Old Vic tonight

Really not sold on it at all after that Comic Relief performance. Yeah don’t bother. It’s worse than that over 2.5 hours

5000 people currently queuing to book on the Old Vic site for the handful of tickets that are left in the current run...

I wasn't madly impressed by the Comic Relief performance. You're not alone, based on social media

I quite enjoyed the Comic Relief performance… always hard for musical theatre to come across well on TV, but the medley gave a good flavour of the show. I’m glad this’ll have a further life in the West End and will look forward to finding out where it’s going and when.

Shows rarely shine on TV and the social media haters will always drop their pearls of poison regardless. I'm pleased for all involved that it'll have a longer life.

Even admirers of 'Just For One Day' may laugh at this social media reaction to the Comic Relief performance:
Audiences at the Live Aid musical : “Just give us our f**king money back”.

What do we think the time frame might be for a West End transfer? This year? Next year? I wonder if it'll be the same cast or if some of them already have other work lined up. For me the current casting on this show is great.

Following the mass ticket sales post comic relief, they’re now selling standing “listening only” tickets for 15 quid. Christ.

For me the current casting on this show is great. I would hope this summer - the website is up, albeit a holding page to sign up for info. Any longer and I think they'd lose momentum, though a 2025 transfer would coincide with the 40 year anniversary of the concert. Tonight's performance created a queue of 5000 people on the OV site immediately afterwards, so hopefully they'll move quickly and announce the dates and theatre.

A queue of 5000 and still it’s not sold the handful of tickets left in the run? Hmmmm

A queue of 5000 and still it’s not sold the handful of tickets left in the run? Hmmmm I'd have taken a screen grab for you if I'd known it mattered that much. The point is that the TV appearance clearly provoked interest and increased traffic to the Old Vic site. Out of curiosity I just checked - apart from two pairs of house seats released for today's shows, all that is left is the odd single scattered across a few performances. That's not unusual for a successful show.

It did generate interest. I went to the Old Vic site just after their performance to check the casting and there was a queue of 2 600 at that point.
