Cast sounds pretty good - not sure I love the dancing though! Hair runs the risk of looking twee and inauthentic if there is too much synchronisation. Don't think that's the actual cast as Jordan Shaw is among them, who is actually doing Follies at the same time. Imagine it's a cast they could quickly rehearse for the West End Live Segment.

Hm yes twee and inauthentic could be a problem - too many waxed chests I think and jeans ripped at the knees is so 2017. Still I am really looking forward to it.

Make sure you've got your specs in for the Act 1 finale. Blink and you'll miss it! 🤓

So, when I saw it with friends in manc, at the end the cast invite the audience to get up and dance. Being a miserable bleeder I folded my arms and hunkered down as did my group of 5. I only found out after that we were THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE AUDIENCE who didn't get up.
I feel terrible about it, but also quite good.
Anyway if you're going, get up and dance at the end. Or not.

How wee the American accents in the show? I remember in Chicago, the accents were awful but Michael Xavier and Siobhan in Sunset were amazing.

I booked - mainly because I've been banging on about how much I love this show / the 2009 Broadway/2011 West End production and want to relive that. Quite ready for it to be incomparably different though!

Will you be arriving early to partake in the "immersive experience" at The Vaults? 60's themed pop-up shops and food stalls etc (I wonder what 60's themed food consists of?).

I'm guessing it might involve cheese and pineapple on sticks stuck into a foil wrapped grapefruit and perhaps some spam washed down with a nice glass of Blue Nun. Invite to Tom Bateman sent.

There is also a private, 'clothing optional' performance on 11th Nov 2017. If I had a ticket for the next performance I would now be feeling distinctly uneasy, and probably considering shopping for disposable cushions.

Audiences at the clothing optional performance are advised to bring a sarong or towel to sit on during the performance, so don't worry too much. This does solve the vexing, perennial problem of what to wear to the theatre.

Anyway if this is clothing optional, what's to stop some old perv (me) going along fully dressed and scoring myself an eyeful of free bum and willy?

The clothing optional performance has made Page 3...of The Times.
Invitations have been sent to naturists clubs, life-modelling classes and "clothing optional research groups". No, me neither!
Staff reserve the right to restrict access to anyone behaving inappropriately.
