It was indeed the ill-fated Carrie! So the RSC has never had a Broadway show from the Shakespeare's canon? That is a good question. (And since it isn't actually a quiz question, I googled it.) The last time the RSC had a Shakespeare show on Broadway was 1996. A Midsummer Night's Dream, with Desmond Barrit. There were a couple others as well. Link here: www.playbillvault.com/Person/Detail/1919/The-Royal-Shakespeare-CompanyEr... does this call into question the last answer? Or was this "an international tour" more than a transfer?

If you don't mind me butting in, a question for you...
This actor appeared in The Alchemist for the RSC (1990s) under his old name, but as part of a Spamalot tour in 2015 under his new name.
Who is it?

Er, doesn't the person who gets the answer of the previous question correct (ie me, and I bloody didn't cheat) get to set the next question?
So, ignoring the question above
What was the first west end production I saw? Clue? Twas summer '91, a musical and the first few lines of spoken dialogue are taken from a play currently starring everyone's favourite black and white Nazi?

No, I saw it back then too, in London (Ann Crumb's understudy was on and was fantastic!) and subsequently on Broadway, and can be considered a fan of the show. Also saw it at the Menier (a poor production by comparison, I thought...) So can't claim to have cheated, no.

Am I allowed to set my question as I was correct with Aspects? (Am still puzzling over PoL's question which is a goodun!)
So...
Before it moved to Chiswick, the Arts Educational School's London base once housed a beautiful little Victorian theatre, complete with proscenium stage, orchestra pit and balcony. Alas it is no longer with us... Name the theatre. (I will accept either of its two names.)

You are absolutely right, Jan Brock! Its other name was the Cripplegate Theatre as it was part of the Cripplegate Institute. The main building is still there in Golden Lane, but the theatre inside was demolished to make way for offices... Your turn for a question!

No it means he/she was wrong as if that was the correct answer I was looking for, I would of included the other theatres, all theatres in London are grade II listed except both Theatre Royals that are grade I listed. I think the heritage listing was to protect the buildings from potential bulldozers after the Mermaid theatre got pulled down.

YES !! GET IN !!! BACK OF THE NET !!!!I'm still on a stewards on a previous question too so let me double it up.
I need the name of two (2) actors who (poignantly) in their career played both Prince Hal and Falstaff in Henry IV. 20th century and later - I'm not accepting Burbage or any rubbish like that. Major professional English-language stage productions in England. Google it all you want. One entry per punter.

Google will confirm the answer but not provide it on a plate. Curiously in one case there was only a 15 year gap between the actor playing the two roles which seems very short, in the other case 20 years.
