All the comments made by the posters in the last few pages I pretty much agree with.
I think the first elimination will come from KGM, Nikita or Les.
I do think Leyton needs to reign in the temptation to be to OTT, he can go into almost Louis Spence type territory if he's not careful. I know some people will like this but others may think it is OTT. I've been a fan of Leyton's since I first saw him in Hairspray and couple of times I've met him he has seemed a lovely warm, kind person. So I hope this side can shine through and he doesn't try to outdo Jojo on who can be most "fabulous".
Annabel I think is a real dark horse and with her recent personal tragedy would be the perfect redemption story and she has a very popular pro in Johannes. I'm looking forward to seeing her do a classic ballroom dance too.
My mum said to me on the introduction show Nitika is like Stacey Solomon so she is pleased others have noticed it too.
Does anyone know how the dances are allocated?
We cannot have everyone doing the same dances each week but if they had 4 dances for first 4 weeks and each surviving couple does one of these then another set of four etc or open it up after the initial period so you go ballroom, latin etc. I think the more technical dances should wait a few weeks.
Bobby might do a good Charleston but how good would it have been around Halloween or Blackpool?
Also Les a samba is strange and Nikita a charleston. Les with his comedy background might have been better suited to a charleston.

Going back a good few years, half the dancers did a waltz and the other half did the cha cha cha for week one and then swapped for week two.
This meant everyone got a grounding in some basic techniques that would set them up for the rest of the series.
Yes, it meant the show lacked variety at the start but it meant that dance technique was embedded.
Now we are very firmly in an entertainment show and that is why people watch.
But I can understand those who call for the focus to shift more on to technique rather than storytelling or entertainment value.

I fully agree OxfordSimon - you don't want 8 waltzs and 7 cha cha cha's but 3 or 4 of each is okay. I get the producers wanting to space out dances like the charleston which can be high entertainment value and things like couples choices.
The judges all mark from different prospectives and we now maybe have more traditional "ballroom/latin" dance background judges on the panel than ever before with Anton, Shirley and to a certain extent Motsi. Shirley may not mark so much on technique as the late great Len did but Anton now effectively marks from a similar perspective as Len did imo.

I was watching It Takes Two on catch up last night. Angela Rippon was saying there's 50 years between Kai and herself!
She's 78 and Kai's only 28.

Paul Daniels and Ola was about 44 years I think. Lets hope for Nadiya's sake they don't do a Ralph Fiennes and Francesca Annis.

Everyone get ready for Tess to repeatedly say "No one wants to be the first to leave" and for the celebrities to look down the camera lens and emotively say "But I am having the best time!" or "I'm just having so much fun!".
Of course, you never know but personally, if I were a betting man, I'd be putting my money on Les and Nancy to go on the weekend.

Les should definitely go. Also, a third to half of the contestants are already very very good, will that make it boring? We don’t want to see perfect dances from most of them every week, we want growth.
Also, Fleur is more painful to watch than Janette, she is awful at presenting. They both need to be ditched.

They really shouldn't do Charleston this early.
Les should go. He was woeful.
But I think we might see a Nikita v Zara dance off

I did enjoy Vito and Ellie's dance. Perfect is one of my favourite songs and they gave a great interpretation
Shirley was too harsh with Nigel. It felt like she wanted to knock him back a bit which was not very constructive.
Amanda showed real commitment. Angela R was inspirational
Angela S, on the other hand, was over praised. I saw arm and feet errors.
Layton gave too much energy for that to truly deserve 9s. He needs to learn restraint.

Yes compared to last week the scoring seemed a little more realistic. I know it has been said before but Leyton has such an advantage over everyone else and the I'm not basic line did nothing to endear him to an audience despite his performance.

They were obviously running out of time when it got to Zara because the feedback became very quick and non-specific, which is a shame as it should help them.

Movie Week dances
Adam and Luba: Jive to Take On Me from The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Amanda and Giovanni: Rumba to Out of Reach from Bridget Jones
Annabel and Johannes: Waltz to Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Angela R and Kai: Quickstep to Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music
Angela S and Carlos: Charleston to Who’s Got The Pain? From Damn Yankees
Bobby and Dianne: Samba to Young Hearts Run Free from Romeo and Juliet
Eddie and Karen: Couple's Choice to Men in Black from Men in Black
Ellie and Vito: Viennese Waltz to Waiting On A Miracle from Encanto
Jody and Jowita: American Smooth to Married Life from Up
Krishnan and Lauren: Charleston to Money Money from Cabaret
Layton and Nikita: Viennese Waltz to There Are Worse Things I Could Do from Grease
Nigel and Katya: Jive to Batman Theme from Batman
Nikita and Gorka: Jive to Kids in America from Clueless
Zara and Graziano: Paso Doble to The Puss Suite from Puss in Boots
Couple's Choice this early is ludicrous
And the music choice for Angela S and Carlos is random considering the song is about dancing a Mambo...

If they were going to have a Disney Pixar movie for Ellie and Vito they should've gone for Luca! Vito in a little yellow vest and shorts would be a dead ringer for Alberto and Ellie could be Giulia if she didn't fancy being Luca.

Nikita will be gone this weekend, I don’t think she is going to get any better, she doesn’t seem to have rhythm.

I always wonder when someone can do a couple's choice or if they are set for certain weeks. Someone who is going along well might want to leave the couple's choice to much later on. If say a Layton or Ellie for example were given it early on it would seem a waste.
Nikita (celeb) I can see being in bottom two again, it just depends who she is up against potentially in the dance off.
Annabel doing a waltz to Moon River sounds a good choice and seeing her in a short wig and LBD will be interesting.
Angela doing Sound of Music could be fun too.
I wonder if Leyton will dress up as Rizzo as I don't see him and Nikita as T-Birds working and Leyton as Sandy might be pushing it a bit. But him as Rizzo with the short dark wig and shades would work.
Karen and Eddie doing a couples choice to MIB I can see working. Karen has done some good dances in couple's choice week I recall and her and Eddie in the black suits and shades will look good.
Lauren as Sally Bowles will be great with her short hair but Krishnan might be the celeb who is least comfortable doing the charleston.

To be fair, Krishnan knew what he was signing up for, as were all the other celebrities.
He may not be the strongest dance, but he's certainly enjoying it. His face is just beaming!
He won't win, but lets see how far he'll go.

Like him or loath him, can we all please try and spell Layton's name correctly. He's not a district of London!

(In my opinion) Les was the weakest performer of the celebrities in the show. But now that he's gone, who do we predict might be voted off this weekend?

Nikita is likely to struggle again.
Jody may be missing as he is battling an infected leg
We still don't know much about who is connecting with the voters so hard to predict at this stage.

As Oxford Simon says Jody has had an issue where the remaining part of his leg has been bady rubbed by his artificial limb and it caused an infection. He couldn't get his false limb on to appear on It Takes Two or has been advised not to wear it. He has missed a couple of days training and however much he may not to compete if he cannot put his false limb back on or it causes him discomfort I really think he has to play it safe and take a bye.
If he did compete the public would likely vote heavily for him. So if we assume Jody doesn't dance or gets a large public vote I think it will be Nikita and KGM likely in the bottom 2. Adam and Zara hasven't scored that high but both are high profile so will get more votes IMO from the public. Eddie is doing couples choice so I think he'll score okay and everyone else scored pretty well so far.

I think the next few weeks are quite predictable, unless someone has an unexpected fan base. Next week at the top and going down week by week.
Nikita Krishnan Jody Adam Eddie Zara
I think Angela Rippon will be gone by this point too, but I have no idea which week, I think people will keep her in until she has a string of Latin dances that she will not do well in.
Then we are left with everyone who can actually dance.

I think you a pretty near the mark there Matt. The likes of Adam, Zara who are younger contenders would need to start showing some improvement. Angela will go so far but will the vote for the older women become split between say her and Annabel?
What we don't know is do people switch their vote when their "favourite" has gone out or not bother to vote then. Say Angela's and Annabel's votes then aligning behind say Amanda would make her strong but does this in theory happen?

A lot of people seem to use the 3 online votes on 3 different couples, at least to begin with. I assume from that, that they switch to someone else as the field narrows and maybe at some point begin to focus on one couple. Would be interesting to know! Certainly when there are lots of names, the voting form gives the impression you should choose three, but you don't have to...

While I'm sure some people do vote on a loyalty to certain couples basis, I'm sure plenty more judge it by the standard of performance on the night. Thinking that Angela's votes once gone might transfer en masse to Annabelle (or someone else) after elimination simply because of age makes no sense to me at all. Different performers are appealing for very different reasons, and viewers' reactions likely to be far more scattershot than that. That's the impression I get from the various forums on the night. (I'm sure there are just as many viewers who (like me) enjoy the show but really can't be arsed to register to vote and aren't invested enough to try to influence the results.)
