Sad news and thoughts are with her sons and grandchildren. A fine character actress on both stage and screen in a career spanning about 60 years. Always remembered as the side kick in To the Manor Born but had her own shows like Three Up, Two Down, Farrington of the FO and was Olivier Award nominated for her portrayal of Mrs Thatcher in Anyone For Dennis.

So sorry to hear this sad news. I remember her great performances as Margaret Thatcher in Anyone for Denis? (Whitehall Theatre, 1981) and as Diana Mosley in The Last of the Duchess (Hampstead Theatre, 2011) . Angela Thorne as Diana Mosley (right) |
