The Eight Mountains

I went to see this on Sunday. Really recommend it. It's beautifully shot and acted, the landscape is as stunning as only the Alps can be. It is long but I didn't think it dragged at all. The two actors are excellent. The only slight criticism I have is the music choice, at least for some of it...why pick American songs when you could have kept it authentic and use Italian music? But other than this, I loved it. It made me nostalgic for my home landscapes and also made me think about those childhood friends that I don't call nor see very often-but when I do see them, it's like time has stood still and we are the same we were in the nineties as teenagers, at least in the way we feel about each other.
For once, a Peter Bradshaw's review I agree with.
