I had this presaved to my Apple Music library but for some reason any tracks with just Andrew Lloyd Webber credited as the artist didn't show up after midnight. I had to manually add them just now. Just in case anyone else is missing the overture, entr'acte and end credits.
Outside of that, seconding how gorgeous it sounds in Atmos! I will get nothing else done for the next couple of days, I'm sure of it.

Just listened to the ‘finale’ and the power with which the orchestra come in after ‘I’m ready for my close up’ nearly blew me out of bed. Stunning.

Only listened to With One Look so far. Love her regal/glacial take on it. (Fun fact for aficionados - while Nicole’s last note is undeniably thrilling it *still* isn’t as high as either Barbra’s or Patti’s; her last verse is sung a tone lower...)

I’m not sure what Babs is doing on her version, it doesn’t go one way or the other. Patti’s recording doesn’t feature the passage I was referencing as I think it was added for LA, but her ‘With One Look’ certainly thrills for exactly the reason you said. Staying ‘up there’ for it all is glorious.

Good Lord. This is the definitive Sunset recording. There aren't enough superlatives to cover it. It's a masterpiece of a live recording. Well done to all involved - what an effort.

Vinyl arrived this morning. Surprised it made it in one piece, they should’ve just slapped a label on the cover, it wasn’t sealed in the packaging at all and just fell out. Anyway, can’t wait to play it.

I had a discussion over this recently. So it's definitely higher than the "standard score" that's been in place since 1994, but a tone lower than those earliest recordings by BS and PLP?)

"I can say anything I want with my EYES!"
I can see in my mind her going up to the camera. I really love Salome on this. Really good fun.

She ate it up and left no crumbs.
I think that’s what the kids say these days?

The standard score ends on an B natural, Nicole ends on an C natural (a half tone up) but Patti and Barbra both end on a D natural (another whole tone up). Edit: Sarah Brightman’s Italian recording is the very highest of all, ending up on a high A flat…

It’s going to win the Grammy.

My red vinyl just arrived, the whole product and sleeve is a thing of beauty. Over 13 months since I first saw this production for the 1st time, and now I very much want to go see it again on Broadway.

Just at the Savoy now and ALW signing SB stuff with Alex Parker playing away on the piano.
Not very busy at the moment if you want to pop down.

My CD came this morning - not hugely impressed with the limited edition packaging, but... my god it sounds incredible! Soaring, sweeping, majestic, imperial - I LOVE this score. Super crisp and clear.
For those interested, the sleeve notes explain it was recorded live over five nights in 'winter 2023', going on to say most of it comes from the 21st December performance (guessing some of the board members will be able to say 'I was there!')

Best cast recording for ages.
MrB is right - that's the Grammy sorted.

Quick question. Where in the recording does the screen come down and show the opening titles? I can't remember anymore.
