Tennant batting for the NHS now. Lots of little tweety messages etc.

Saw this last night and absolutely adored it. Thought the headphones were brilliant and added a nice sense of horror/othewordlyness to the production. Surprisingly brutal as well, in places

Saw this on Wednesday night and wasn't enamoured. I thought Tennant was fantastic but when he wasn't on stage the whole energy dipped. Jumbo was disappointing.
Also found it visually very uninteresting and with the doubling up of parts yet everyone wearing the same costumes it was confusing at points to know who was who.
That standup part - cringe.
Enjoyed the sound design in the headphones, did not enjoy my extremely uncomfortable seat in the circle.

Any gossip about the transfer, which theatre etc? No gossip but if it hadn't mentioned an Autumn opening, this could have filled the late summer gap at the Noel Coward nicely.

I have a feeling this may go to the Gielgud, after Opening Night and before Oliver!

Went to this last week. It was well acted and I enjoyed the staging but it was also aomewhat flat.

Looks like the West End transfer is being announced tomorrow at 10am to an ATG venue, so either the Duke of York's or the Harold Pinter.

He spoke about it transferring when he was on the radio 2 breakfast show back in Feb. I can't imagine he'd have talked about it if he wasn't transferring with it

Clearly the plan from first mootings. DT: go big or go home.
Would have thought through the West End headset issue at that point, as well. Either a team is dusting off their Dewalt drills and checking battery packs, or there is a bluetooth option that doesn't allow sets to go missing at the end of the performance. What they came up with at the Donmar worked well enough. Any other options?

The Pinter is more likely given it's free from June.

I wonder if Sohoplace would be the best fit. Stage wise they can make it similar to the donmar but also as it is so new it would probably he easier to rig up all the head phones. It's also free from July.

Pinter or Duke of Yorks - vaguely remember DT saying in that interview Autumn, which would suggest it might follow Romeo and Juliet into the DOY

For every performance, a third of the tickets are priced at £35 or under with the front row available for purchase on the day of performance at £25. In addition, the Donmar will extend its Donmar LOCAL programme to the West End, with free tickets for young people from up to ten schools in Camden and Westminster.

Donmar members should have received an email with their Priority Access link. Sales open this Wednesday at 10 for ATG/Donmar members.
I'm not even sad about missing it this time, I really dislike the Harold Pinter.

That's most unlike this theatre. I presume the reasonably priced tickets are influenced by DT and Cush.
The aural dimension adds something fresh and artistically credible. Hope it sells well.

The issue with the Pinter (like the Duke of Yorks) is that the restricted view seats are REALLY bad, so you end up having to pay top dollar in the hope of actually seeing anything.

ATG+ members presale just opened. I am 3182 in the queue with an expected wait time of 53 minutes. Interesting this is available before Donmar.

Am glad to be in this queue as I joined it while in the physical queue for the Alacazar in Seville and we just missed out on the last tickets for today.
