Felt like there should be a room for discussing play and musical pro-shots - either one’s you want, rumours of filming or talking about a particular one you’ve watched - sorry if this thread already exists

I would love a pro-shoot of Parade- in fact anything by Jason Robert Brown.
Also the musical Ordinary Days

I really enjoyed the Anything Goes pro-shot. I wasn’t able to see it at the Barbican, and I absolutely loved Samuel Edwards as Billy (his voice is gorgeous) and Robert Lindsay as Moonface was hysterical

There was a great version of South Pacific from Chichester albeit with a visibly pregnant Gina Beck. You had it for a limited time period and I ended up watching it again immediately after I had finished it the first time!

I would have loved a pro-shot of Company. The trailer with Rosalie Craig was so good, it was used for the early adverts in New York. Such a great cast, and personally I would rather see the three boyfriends from the Gielgud stage over the NY actors any day. I'm not a huge Sondheim fan, but I couldn't get over how inventive and fun Marianne Elliott's production was.

Waitress is done and apparently sold out a cinema screening. If it's being screened at a cinema, I would predict, in time , a DVD/Blu-Ray release.
We also know that the UK production of Heathers was filmed. Also a DVD/Blu-Ray release coming
As they're releasing a cast recording of Parade and Sweeney Todd on Broadway, I would imagine that both will be pro-shot- whether or not they're released is another thing.

I would love a pro-shoot of Parade- in fact anything by Jason Robert Brown. Also the musical Ordinary Days There was a live stream Pro Ordinary days done during the pandemic which was wonderful to watch. It also helped spur me on to putting it on as a show so it did its job of getting another licence fee sold.

Other than NT Live, have any other shows been filmed recently? The Facebook group Filmed live musicals maybe able to answer your question.

…and of course ‘Aladdin’ that is obviously hidden in someones wardrobe or something? I wonder if it has anything to do with Jade Ewans claim against the production or has this been thrown out? Is she even in it or was it an all US cast?

Aladdin might be because it's still doing decent business on Broadway?

Aladdin might be because it's still doing decent business on Broadway? And hasn't it a UK tour coming up?
