Have noticed that they are doing a 9-show week in the last week of July and no performance on Sunday 28th. I wonder why.

Sitting in the revolving seats would be fun but then i think you'd miss the people skating around the perimeter, so I'm torn where to sit. Also, they are doing a 5 show weekend so i highly doubt the leads - Pearl, Greasball, etc will be doing all of those shows as it will too taxing on the body. I would think they all would get 1 show off a week at least...I think it will be challenging to get the full cast after previews with injuries, shows off, etc. It’s a 4 show weekend, not 5. 5 would be extremely brutal!! They have 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Do we know what the preview period is? Which performance will be press/opening night? People count Friday as the weekend, making it a 5 show weekend which is what I think the original poster meant.

Sitting in the revolving seats would be fun but then i think you'd miss the people skating around the perimeter, so I'm torn where to sit. When they talk of a revolve, do you think they either mean a swivel seat like the front ones in Starlight Bochum or the whole section revolves round like the set in Cats? I'm thinking about a top price ticket however don't want to end up behind the action once I've been spun round

The layout suggests whole section a la Cats and Cinderella

I also don't think most people who come to the show will care who they see in the roles as they are going for the show itself. I think the show and the concept outweigh who is in the show, as long as they can play the parts which is why they are doing so many performances in a row. This won't be star driven cast most likely, unless the get a big name for Papa/Mama.

I do agree. To be honest I haven't thought about the cast at all. I just want to see it for nostalga values. Saw it a few times in the 80s and it has happy memories for me.

I’m surprised someone hasn’t proposed Louse Dearman or Rachel Tucker for parts 🙄

Are we not getting Christina Bennington as Pearl? She’d be great.

Certainly she was brilliant in the workshop.

I always thought Nathaniel Morrison would be an amazing Rusty and Josie Benson could be a great Momma.

I know it's tedious but in fact thinking about it I would mention all the usual names - Jamie Muscato, Rob Houchen, Jordan Luke Gage - for Rusty. They can all sing and would deliver a stunning title number and Starlight Sequence.
Blake Patrick Anderson who was the original Rusty in the new Bochum version in 2018/2019 has a gorgeous voice and would also be great.
Also George Ure was fantastic in the workshop. But is he too old now. Don't know.
My hunch however is that will be someone recently out of drama school not yet well known in MT circles.

I didn’t see the Other Palace tryout, but newer versions prior to that have somehow lessened Rusty as the lead and have spread the focus around a bit more.

How long will Ivano Turco be in the Jamie tour? I think he'd be a perfect Rusty

Booked tickets yesterday. Have an order ID. I have not received any confirmation nor email of tickets. Should I be concerned? Will I get any confirmation of purchase?

Thrilled this is extending. Have a feeling in my water that it will be popular. First there is my generation who saw it in the 80s so it's a nostalgic revisit and for a whole new generation this will something they have not seen before. And pleased for the venue as it deserves a long runner, staff are lovely and helpful.

I am unclear the best place to see the show from....does anyone have a sense? Clearly this isn't starting until June, but I am sure some people on this board are "in the know" :-)
