I know they all do to varying extents but Michael Harrison is VERY profit focussed. And business savvy.
The Palladium Panto programmes are also ludicrously priced.

Glad they are back in stock as last week they didn't have any so hopefully will get one in a couple of weeks when I'm there again.
And hopefully fridge magnet too which was also sold out.

Update - there was one tiny easy to miss scrappy A4 print out of the covers yesterday afternoon. This was as you went in via door 2. Door 1 had nothing.
They really do need to do better with this. Think was covered upthread but doesn't Equity require covers to be clearly displayed?
There are screens everywhere so really how hard can it be to display "cast at this performance" on those.
(Appreciate I am labouring a point that is irrelevant to 99% of the audience but I profoundly believe punters should be able to easily find out who they are watching if they want to. It's also respectful to the performers!)
Anyway, show was sensational and continues to grow on me. Took me several visits but would probs up it from my initial 4 stars to 5 now.
We had Lara Vina Uzcatia covering Greaseball and she was sensational - great rocky MT voice which really suited the role. Believe she went on for Act 2 the day before mid show so this was her first full show - you'd never have known!

Yes, he was very good. Bonkers show, well staged with no end of ear worms. Really enjoyed it.
(Didnāt enjoy it running a good 25 minutes longer than advertised though.)

He seemed too young to me. But that could apply to a lot of the casting here. Or maybe Iām just showing my age and they were all this young at the Apollo Vic! |

Theyāve always been a camp as t!ts āsmall typeā up til this, to be replaced by a camp as t!ts skinny street dance Diversity type here. He was adequate, and barely in it in comparison to before.

I mean, it's quite hard to judge what type of people are attracted to another by a kid inventing trains who race as roller skaters...
I've now sat in all the first class carriages. Note to self, avoid saying platform when you mean carriage. I caused confusion by being directed to the wrong section last week. This week, someone was sat in my carriage seat, and the spare seat (only 2 seats along so no big deal) had completely the wrong seat number attached to it, but we got there. Note, there is little rake in first class carriages 2 and 3. My view was fine, but I did hear a lady unhappy I was sat in front, even though I'm not all that tall.
If you can see over the people in front, carriages 2 and 3 have excellent views. There's a lot of the display and light effects I didn't even know existed from the side seats.
Covers today for Greaseball, Blue Lightning, Killerwatt and Rusty. I'm not sure who was in the train crash, but that's quite a while to be absent, so I hope everyone is okay and not concussed or hurt too badly. I'm not sure if the races were slowed down, but the first race winner announcement, which I presume is tied to the music, was a bit early. All the cast who were on were on form.
As I mentioned, I loved Scott Hayward as Rusty. Jeevan is talented, but you could tell that Scott just has so much more acting experience. The only thing that may be controversial is keeping the same look for him as Jeevan. I'd be very happy to see Scott again.
I do also love the way that Lewis Kidd sneaks up on unsuspecting audience members to surprise them. Yes, I'm easily amused.
No visit next week as I'm away, but I'll keep going as long as the excellent single seat discounts remain. But preferably not when AC/DC are at Wembley. Seeing so many people of retirement age about wearing their T-Shirts when I thought AC/DC was too modern and trendy a band for me, just makes me feel old!

Myself and my partner (gay couple) also commented that heād probably be more interested in Hydra than Pearl when we saw it. I thought he sang well, but his voice doesnāt suit the score. Itās a pop voice really. Iād like to see different Rustyās to compare. I also thought the size difference between Rusty and Pearl was off putting - sheās tiny and heās very tall. It didnāt work for me.

Just read the Sunday Times review by Dominic Maxwell who gives a glowing and gushing review of the show and, at the end, gives it 3 stars. Bizarre!

Managed to catch this with one of the reduced Ā£29.50 singles. Fantastic view in the Locomotive section and the roller skating is all very impressive!
