Ooh are you in the circle too?
I honestly haven't heard a word of Felicia's dialogue. It also feels like the audience's reaction to her songs is lukewarm.

Hmm not sure, it could easily lose 3 songs and 20mins. But lots of it I loved.

The Ambassadors has probably the highest stage in the West End. I only ever book the circle there.

At its strongest when its just the title characters doing their thing, all supporting characters (and accompanying songs) I could take or leave. A fun evening to be had when the right kind of audience are in, and definitely a nice change of pace for me after People, Places & Things last night and Machinal this afternoon! Solid 3 stars leaning towards 3 and a half.

Booked! Hopefully row L of the stalls will be alright L is probably just about perfect for the stalls. I’d imagine just about anywhere in the circle is preferable to A-E stalls.

Is this definitely a limited run or is there a possibility of an extension or even an open ended run if it does well?

I didn't like Felicia but I think that comes down to the poor diction of the actress and being unable to understand a word she said rather than the character itself, who seemed quite funny from what I COULD understand

Here tonight. This front row shouldn’t be on sale.
Is there someone I can speak to? It’s ridiculous

Went to see this tonight with a front row Stalls seat where I have sat many times before and thus am aware of the usual restrictions with the stage at this Theatre. However even at 6ft tall from seat A1 it is impossible to see the set on the stage and any view of the actors will be minimal. Box office unable to move me and I will now try and get my money back as I left. If you have booked on the front row for this show don't waste the time and money getting to the theatre. IMO seats sold under total false pretences

I’ve only been there once, when Cock was on, and the only thing I remember about the place is that the stage was ridiculously high.
It’s such a shame to read that the may have tinkered with it a bit too much as it was great fun in Manchester, and it sounds like it suffers from Jodie Jacobs’ absence too, as she was such a huge presence in the show. Still wish I could see it again though, daft (in a good way), really catchy tunes and two very likeable leads.

I have tickets front row centre for August. I’m now concerned that this was a mistake, having seen some of the feedback regarding the restricted view. Do you think I’ll be able to transfer seats and would it be best to call the box office?

I have a front row seat booked for Saturday, might see if I can switch it for a seat further back another time. I've sat in the front row for that theatre before but I'm feeling nervous now.

If you have front row seats defo try and get moved. No point in going otherwise. Stage tonight was much higher than on the many times I have sat at the Ambassadors on the front row

Apologies if this breaks any forum rules, but here is a pic I snapped quickly last night to give a perspective of the stage height. That woman is fully stood and the top of her head barely makes it over the ledge! imgur.com/a/XEcSMm4

This is something I’ve noticed more and more both West End and Broadway where a lot of directors seemingly have stopped watching their show from all areas of the theatre, to ensure the audience can SEE what’s happening on stage.

Thanks all, just checked and I’m centre of row B but think I’m going to try and switch to further back. Really looking forward to finally see this and don’t want to miss the action!

Despite the sore neck, I really enjoyed this tonight. It was greedy of producers to put the first row on sale. The two leads and the crazy fangirl were the standouts for me. Would love to see their future careers Very funny show, I liked it all. A few missed lighting and mic cues tonight which was a shame, especially after reading they’ve happened throughout previews. Agree with other comments re Felicia. Couldn’t hear most of her lines from the front row. I knew she was singing, but hadn’t a clue what

I am always so wary about being in front rows for the reasons above. 👆
Will never forget dayseating for Sister Act at the Palladium and got such bad neck ache from looking up. 😭

Anyone booking a front row seat for a musical is asking for trouble.
Also a director has nothing to do with this problem. High stages are only due to tracks in floors/revolves/lighting.
