I'm not sure if A Doll's House is the project she's teasing but it can't be ruled out because I can't think of any other thing that her fans has been asking about for a while.

And also, I must ask in classic TheatreBoard-style...
"Whooooooooooooooooooooooo?"
I mean she claims to have won an Oscar this year and has about 311 IMDB credits to her name but I've never seen her play a maid in a Chekhov in an off-West End playhouse, so no wonder that neither I nor anybody else on this forum has an utter Scooby as to who this lady is!
It's Amy Ronan Keating or Saucia Adams-Beckham Carter all over again, these people are NOBODIES.

I always thought if Jessica Chastain had to pull out of A Doll's House, her replacement should be Bryce Dallas Howard.

Yes and no Yes she's award winning and has a solid reputation as an actress, but on box office she isn't up there as one of the top selling actresses with masses of hits. I dont think more casual movie goers will know who she is. Will be interesting to see if she is a box office draw on stage. |

Interesting that when this was going to be in London they were going to use the translation by Frank McGuinness however now for Broadway it is a new adaption by Amy Herzog. I wonder why, maybe a 2023 update?

I think they've changed the show a bit as the translation is by Amy Herzog.
I assume it's down to availability of both theatres and Jessica Chastain that it's going to Broadway.

I’m sure someone will start a thread in the International section before too long but I had an email earlier advertising that tickets are now on sale for its run at the Hudson, starting 13th February, the usual Broadway prices: I’m going to NYC in March staying a couple of streets away so I’ll have a look at booking something closer to then (not the eye watering expensive seats down the front though)

The people complaining about the price of tickets for the London show earlier in this thread should have a look at the pricing of the New York run: tickets at $300 each 😮

Sadly, $200-$300 of much of stalls/orchestra is pretty much the Broadway standard now for just about any show with a chance to sell well or featuring a big name. And these often aren't even considered the premium ones.
They often drop at some point if producers realize they went for too much too soon.

Saw this today. Absolutely loved it. I found the minimalist staging very compelling and it really allowed you to focus on the text and the dynamics between cast members.
The run has been extended until June 10, so if you're NYC before then, I heartily recommend. It has been up on TKTS fairly often, so deals are available although that may change after reviews come out. I was in a dress circle seat for $95 (which by NYC standards is low). Great view.
Try to sit in a center section or house right so you have a clear view of the climactic moment.
