Cant wait to see how obscene the prices will be. Looks to be doing extended stays though, possibly 8-10 weeks in MCR so they must anticipate demand.

I’ve still not been to see the West End production and it coming to my home city seems like a no brainier to see it but my fiancé is reluctant for a touring production to be my first performance of it in case the staging is significantly scaled back and therefore less impressive. How did they manage it with the US tour? Is it very different?

It is a brilliant piece but the set design etc is very simple and so it will be an easy piece to tour. I see no reason why they would need to cut it down to tour it.

I’m very surprised this is touring, but the staging is simple, other than the huge multi revolve I guess.

Hamilton is a funny one for me. I saw it live about 5 years ago and adored it, listened to the soundtrack constantly and even saw it on Disney when it was out - but I feel no need to ever see it again.

It's very much a one and done show for me, but I may see the tour and take family who haven't seen it. Curious to see if it can sell out 15 weeks in Manchester.

So glad this is going to the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh rather than the Playhouse. they are a struggling indepedent theatre and also a charity and so this 9 week season should give them a huge boost.

One of my favourite theatre's I've ever been to. Always have a great experience with Capital Theatres too. Not sure what the outcome of the Kings will be but still hoping for a positive one. Theatre Royal in Glasgow is also up there as one of my favourites. Both that one and the Festival have very similar atmospheres.

I agree. The Festival staff are always so lovely both FOH & box office, and the Capital Theatres charity has done some brilliant work for the Edinburgh community.

Manchester prices (midweek) £170 VIP £150 £125 £87.50 mid stalls £75 £65 £45 back row
Then there’s a handful at £45 at the back corner of the circle.
Grand Tier is £45, £25 and £13
Add a tenner for weekends.
No concessions Theatrecard or otherwise. Zilch. Nada.

There seems to be a small block of £13 tickets at the back of the stalls (restricted view) so I've got one of those just so I can see what the fuss is about

I've booked for stalls and circle, with senior midweek matinee offers for my parents in both areas and a Theatrecard discount for me in the circle. Prices were about what I paid for the big tours like Les Mis when sitting in the same areas (a few rows back, central, excellent view), I don't remember seeing any above £100 despite looking at good seats - were they the all package ones?
