I always thoughthttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Gallagher_Jr. should play her. Because she was not a typical royal.

Well, Evita turned out alright. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Well, Evita turned out alright. Don't knock it until you've tried it. these artists won the tony and Olivier awards. So it will be okay at least

Naomi Watts thinks it's a great idea.

^ easily one of the worse films I've seen. My friend and I were cackling throughout the entire thing.

I think if we socially accept Evita and Titanic then why shouldn’t this be a good idea? If the music score and set is amazing it could work brilliantly.

A woman of limited intellectual ability manages to snag a wealthy husband, she shags around and dies at the end because of her own courting of publicity.
Thats an interesting dramatic arc right there.

I've seen this, and in the comments, the link to the full production is on there. I was stunned. I actually found it fairly offensive and the scene with the crash just shocking. Even to include the noises of it was distasteful, especially after Diana gets her big number two seconds before.

But that’s not the same production as La Jolla, right?

And of course there's a German version of this... thing. Why just aren't I surprised by this at all?

I was once directed by a woman who was in an early production/workshop (not sure which it was some years ago) of that...I'm not sure that's a ringing endorsement.
(haven't seen the clips so can't comment on whether it's inappropriate or not...)

Oh my God.
Incredible.
Is it safe to say that this wouldn't be attended by anyone from the royal family...? Or maybe Phil would turn up with the popcorn and his opera glasses.

That footage is quite extraordinary. I think we have a rival for Springtime For Hitler.

Not that I intentionally watch ITV's Lorraine of a morning, but they had a feature on this musical. It was on mute though so didn't catch any gossip etc.

Just watched back OnDemand. It's only a brief segment, to summarise the details: Title: Call Me DianaFollowing her life from "her early years right through to the marriage of her and Charles". Natasha John has been cast as Diana (found via Michael McIntyre's Big Show) UK production later in 2019 So is this a 3rd Diana musical? Edit: Confirmed. This is a separate piece again. 'Showcase' premiering in London September 2019. www.callmediana.co.uk

ROLLING. This is like an April Fools. I won't make song title suggestions, I would probably get me banned!
