The film soundtrack is, in my opinion, one of the best Disney soundtracks ever. Go the Distance, I Won't Say I'm in Love, Zero to Hero and The Gospel Truth to name but a few, sit as some oft the best Disney songs ever in my eye.

The Hydra section will be .... challenging to stage!
But I agree that it has some great songs in the score. Hades better get a great villain song!

Would be great to see this in the West End on the scale of The Lion King.

This show looks like it is going to a Public Works show which means most of the ensemble and set/customer work will be done by local New Yorkers instead of professionals. I'm surprised Disney is willing to go this way because they are know to have complete control over their shows.

I'm surprised Disney is willing to go this way because they are know to have complete control over their shows. Disney has been more relaxed in recent years with their lesser titles, we saw it with Pinocchio at the National in 2017 and they've done a few times in the States with things like The Jungle Book, Freaky Friday and Hunchback. The aim isn't Broadway but licensing it if it works out.

Can certainly see them getting this to Broadway in the next few years. Gonna need a fair few “safe bets”

I saw the production in Central Park twice. It was a lot of fun, but I can see it being unwieldy on Broadway. I wouldn't be surprised if they aim for it to go straight to being licensed for all sorts of groups — school to regional.

Hi there will Hercules be going to broadway after paper mill? and what Is happening in regards to Jungle Book? I guess it will all depend on the reception. Jungle Book set is still in storage.

In a podcast of the official Disney fan club, D23, Thomas Schumacher (president and producer of Disney Theatrical Productions), confirmed that a Broadway run of Hercules cannot be ruled out and that they are working on a German translation. It is expected that Stage Entertainment Germany will bring Hercules to Germany (probably Hamburg).

I really hope it does make it to Broadway. I’ve looked into getting to the Paper Mill on one of my layovers and it’s a pain to get to.

It will probably replace Frozen in Hamburg, which will then transfer to the Netherlands. Both probably not happening until late 2023 as Frozen isn't selling THAT terribly (compared to other Stage Entertainment shows) and even they know they can't run three Disney shows parallel without them cannibalizing each other (and Harry Potter magicking some of their audience away).
They will first need a replacement for the major flop that Hamilton has (predictably) turned out to be and for the equally terribly selling (done to death) Mamma mia in Hamburg. As Stage Entertainment had initially been involved in Back to the Future, I still hope they might bring that to the oversized Neue Flora Theater (+2000 seats) and &Juliet to the much smaller Operettenhaus (~1200 seats) and not, as rumor as it, to the Neue Flora, where it would die a terrible death, especially with Stage Entertainment's ludicrous insistence on translating jukebox musicals into German, which already killed Bat out of Hell and Tina the Musical.
And of course whenever Stage Entertainment runs out of ideas, they will just stuff the tedious vampires into a Hamburg theatre for yet another run.
