Has anyone forked out for the new Musicals magazine? Decided to by a copy yesterday as I am going away for a few days soon and thought it would be perfect poolside reading. Just had a flick through the pages to see what's in there and, have to say, there is a huge amount of content in it. I am not really a big magazine person as I usually only find a few items of interest and just skim through the rest but this literally has articles on every single page that I will want to read. So a tenner is a lot for a magazine but looks like its value for money ad will keep me occupied for hours.

I missed the first edition of this but just waded through number two and was pleasantly surprised. A lot of detailed information, and substantial, intelligent reviews, both critical and full of praise. I'll be following this well produced magazine.

I bought the first one and it was jam packed with info and stories. First time I've read a magazine cover to cover. Couldn't find a copy in my local WH Smith at the weekend so I've just bought a subscription so will come to me by post. Much easier for me.

Yes,it is a wonderful publication. I love the listings at the back of each issue which summarises were touring musicals are on at different venues around the country and when - very handy. I hope it ‘catches on’ with MT fans.

I haven't seen it for sale anywhere. I couldn't find it either so have done a subscription. It works out just over £6 a copy including postage.

No sign of the latest addition in any of the WH Smith’s I visited today. Hopefully it might turn up tomorrow.

Got my pessimist hat on now, but I can’t help wondering how long this magazine will last. The Bernadette Peters issue has been out for a couple of months but there’s no shortage of those floating around.

The inaugural ATG+ members' newsletter arrived via email this morning and offered a 20% discount on a Musicals magazine subscription. It directs to a webform, and doesn't appear to be sharable, but might be of interest to members.

A begging letter from Dogs Trust but still no magazine. I'm blaming the postal service.

Was Theatregoer the same one as the ‘magazine’ that was bundled with the programme at RUG theatres from late 2000 to around 2004/5? All the neat A5 programmes blown up to A4 . . . I had to go out and buy a different sized box to store them in…

Just spoken to the subscription team as my copy still hasn't arrived and they have told me it was late from the printers and should be sent out tomorrow. So might be the same for stocks being sent to shops. Hopefully should be there in the next day or two.
