Well that did not take very long. Ramin is actually here for a one night performance in Kinky Boots. Do you mean the palladium? Please tell more if he is involved with Kinky Boots.

Rebecca, obviously. What I can't stand about these "fan" awards is the predictability of Wicked, Phantom and Les Miz coming out on top. I'm not saying that these replacement performers don't deserve attention for the good work they are doing, but the results more or less remain the same despite the other talents doing more refreshing and new things on the WE. As far as I remember, last year in this nomination won someone from Sunny Afternoon I believe a voting campaign was made by some fans for John Dagleish who eventually won. However it was certainly the best performance of a song I saw last year, I felt lucky to be able to see the performance again at the Oliviers in concert. It is certainly a harder choice this year, I could have chosen any of 7 but went for Sheridan Smith as Funny Girl is the best show I have seen this year, closely followed by Show Boat. I know I am fortunate in that I have seen 14 out of 18 of the nominations perform but know many people will just be voting as a fan of the show. Personally I feel like there are 5 people nominated who have replaced actors who previously did a far better job compared to 3 takeovers who I feel are doing a better job. But that's just my opinion obviously not so many voters agree with me!

I have just seen on the west end understudies page Vas and Gabriela have taken over as Kevin and Nina. I wonder what is in the pipeline for David (other than the concert in July) and Lily, both were two of my favourites the three times I have caught the show. (Although I did love Cleve, Sam and Joe too)

Guys, I don't think the news regarding Samantha Sprio is 100% true as surely an offical announcement would've been made by now?? I think that he was just speculating I checked the tweets again this morning and Natasha has actually 'favourited' one of them which would seem odd if it was untrue. I know how easy it is to do so when scrolling through tweets, especially if she was doing so for every tweet she mentioned but I don't think the 'rumour' should be dismissed either way. I for one am also hoping that Sheridan returns however if her health doesn't allow then her recovery is a priority. I wonder if Baz will say something in his usual casting news on Friday as he had the scoop about Sheridan to begin with.

There are several tweets from him about it, I considered asking for his sources but I believe he is a fan of the block button so that wouldn't get anywhere. Based on the fact he was asking and subsequently tweeted other west end news sources that it is the case I wondered if anybody else had heard anything about it. Like I said hoping it is a twitter rumour.

Johnny Fox is tweeting that Samantha Spiro (who is being replaced by Rebel Wilson in Guys and Dolls) is to take over from the 28th June as Fanny. I really hope this is just twitter rumors, I saw Sheridan in April and she was by far the best actress I have seen on stage this year.

When is it the tour starts? August, I had presumed that with the London show booking until June originally some of the cast would transfer over but I guess it will be a clean sheet and probably not announced until nearer the time. Would really love to see Adam Sopp, John Dagleish and Lillie Flynn back on stage again. Saw Edmund Derrington in Midsummer nights dream at the weekend, he was great. Also looking forward to seeing George Maguire in the Buskers Opera and Dominic Tighe in The Threepenny Opera soon too

Announced today at the same time as the big Wicked announcement Sunny Afternoon is extending to October. Was a big fan of the original cast but no so much of the new cast. Would be great to find out the tour cast soon.

I booked this months ago for yesterdays matinee on Lastminute for £19.50. My usual lastmimnute experience for Memphis and Book of Mormon was that I was upgraded. I was optimistic having taken my grandma for her birthday that as there were a large amount of seats available we would be upgraded. Not so we were tucked at the end of the circle in seats that are now advertised for half the price for wednesday matinees. There was plenty of room in the stalls so we moved down for the second half into an entirely empty row d but I have no idea why the circle was even open. The ushers could have at least suggested moving into the center of the circle before the show started as they know what is available instead after the show started a large group of people took the initiative and moved themselves. Just a shame they didnt wait until the interval.
Having said that we both loved the show. All of the voices were wonderful, not a single charecter I didnt appreciate. It is such a shame it is closing. I wanted to stand at the end but no-one else did, my grandma however couldnt resist so we both stood and gave the cast the appreciation they deserved.

I do like Jon Robyns as an actor, particularly in Avenue Q and think he would suit Charlie but he is going into Panto with Joe Pasquale this xmas. Joe mentioned it to the audience at Louise Dearman's charity concert at the Grove.
